Since 2003, they have been explaining themselves and their band name all across the United States of America while reaching thousands of people through the original, and relatable music they make. Over the last five years Sequoyah Prep School has released four (4) albums and one (1) EP. With the release of their second album in 2006, the band began to actively pursue new fans by diving into a heavy touring schedule and using online communities as tools to market their music. Sequoyah Prep School played over 600 shows in 20 states and procured over 2 million plays on myspace.com. The band’s most recent album “Ghost Town” has sold over 3,000 hard copies and 4,000 digital copies in less than a year making it their most popular release yet. Sequoyah Prep School has become a favorite on college campuses across the country and had the opportunity to play at several schools including Belmont University, The Citadel, Centenary College of Louisiana, Clemson University, Coker College, College of Charleston, Lipscomb University, and Winthrop University. They have shared the stage with several national touring acts such as All Get Out, Anathallo, Anberlin, Better Than Ezra, Colour Revolt, Cool Hand Luke, Corey Smith, Jupiter Coyote, Phantom Planet, Quiet Drive, and Umbrellas. In 2008 Sequoyah Prep School was able to record with established producers Mike Green (Paramore, Boys Like Girls, The Matches) and Mike Bradford (Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker). On February 8, 2013, Sequoyah Prep School played their last show together as a band at the New Brookland Tavern in Columbia, SC.
