The Art Of War
Serenity Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ad gladios, Signa Inferre
Ad gladios, Vae Victis
Ad gladios, Gloria Mundi
Ad gladios, Vae Victis
A statesman's heart must be placed in his head

I can remember all the days of violence
I can remember all the days they fought for rights
When men united all by fear and interest
I mastered them with hopeful promises I've broken

Almighty giver of all life,
Sun you're my god, open my eyes,
I have to conquer; I am made to server that aim

Do as I command,
You'll never stop a dreamer
Imagination rule the world
And I saw it grand
Fight at my side,
You'll never taste the failure
Courage is key - let me teach you so,
The Art Of War

I do not want a bench covered with velvet,
I do not want a crown unless power goes with it
Religion I would use to server ambition
Glory is fleeting, the obscure is forever

Almighty giver of all life,
Sun you're my god, open my eyes,
I have to conquer, no matter the pain, no matter the harm

Do as I command,
You'll never stop a dreamer
Imagination rule the world
And I saw it grand
Fight at my side,
You'll never taste the failure
Courage is key - let me teach you so,
The Art Of War

I command for greater tomorrow,
Power is my reward.
Raise your head, fate will guide you now and forever

Do as I command,
You'll never stop a dreamer
Imagination rule the world
And I saw it grand
Fight at my side,
You'll never taste the failure
Courage is key - let me teach you so,
The Art Of War

Ad gladios, Signa Inferre
Ad gladios, Vae Victis
Ad gladios, Gloria Mundi

Ad gladios, Vae Victis
A statesman's heart must be placed in his head

Huh, I thought the was a cover of Sabaton's version, tbh. Got to give props to Napoleon for his efforts at least. Interesting song.

great king, thanks to him we do the revolution and retake our homelands for ourselfs here in argentina and south america.. obviously he didnt knew what happend here.. but it was a great help

Alex Mag

"retake your homeland", majority of South American population is European, hahaha
And he wasn't a king, he was an usurper and was a puppet of the Bankers like all "revolutionaires"
Your "revolutions" like all of them didn't have any support of the people, it was legions of mercenaries and foreign émigrés controlled by the Bankers.
