KIDS
Sex-S Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Suburban kid, ya got no name
Two ton baby and ya got no brain
I bet you're only happy in suburbian dreams
But I'm only laughing cause you ain't in my scheme

Hey baby
I love you
I love you
I love you

I only ever listen when you're on the phone
From your safety where you sit at home
When I got nothin' better to do
Then there is always you
Cause you're good for my shoe

Hey baby
I love you
I love you
I love you

I'm in love
Yeah in love
Oh, can't you feel it?

No I don't like where you come from
It's just a satellite of London
And when you look me in the eye
Just remember that I want to die

Hey baby
I love you
I love you
I love you

You're the name but you can't tell
Lookin' like you just came outta hell
How did ya figure that'd you'd any use?
All you're gonna get is my abuse

Hey baby
I love you
I love you

I love you
I love you

Overall Meaning

The song "Kids" by Sex-S is a sarcastic critique of suburban life and those who are content with it. The song addresses a person who is "suburban kid" and "two ton baby" with "no brain" and "no name", suggesting a lack of individuality and intelligence. The singer speculates that this person is only happy in their "suburban dreams", which are contrasted with the singer's own goals and desires, represented by the metaphorical "scheme". The singer claims to only listen to this person when they are on the phone and has nothing better to do, suggesting a lack of genuine interest or connection.

The repeated refrain of "Hey baby, I love you" is dripping with sarcasm, as the song clearly suggests a lack of real affection or care for the suburban kid. The singer goes on to describe their disdain for where the suburban kid comes from, calling it a "satellite of London" and expressing a desire to die when the suburban kid looks at them. The final stanza portrays the singer as abusive towards the suburban kid, indicating that there is no love or positive feelings there.

Overall, "Kids" is a cynical commentary on suburban life and the people who are content with it, as well as a critique of superficial relationships and the lack of genuine connection in modern society.

Yes , we can discuss it with the children at an appropriate age. We do not need to have others in the school setting going deep into details or being so graphic in describing any parts of the body. This is one of the reasons many parents are taking their children out of public schools.

@jhowardsupporter

I had seen it all on the internet by that age. I don't think we had videos back then and it would take 20 minutes to load a single image and sometimes the dial up would disconnect.

@OPIUMwrldd1

this is stupid on soo many levels

It's not complicated at all just talk to them never make your child feel awkward about the subject. A sector education begins as soon as your child shows curiosity are asks any questions. Don't push information that they don't seek just answer their questions... honestly.

@koxillegall

Parents should understand that now and times life is made that way and that's how most people like do where our own body in our own way of growing is made that way that's how we're born and that's what we're supposed to do that's what if you want to or not but the 80% of people in the world or 100% of the world has sex most of the time kids at 18 or like younger and not just kids but they're allowed to do it and that's what there is

@denniscox9277

If the parents don't teach them the teachers are willing to do the deed,, parents need to get better at raising their children 🙄

@20alphabet

I urge your "news" agency to talk about the Afghanistan disaster, Milley's treason, the southern border invasion, and Hunters laptop.
