Shane Harper, a dancer with more moves to share with the world. At age 9, Shane started dancing after he saw his sister Sam Harper at the studio. He and his family relocated from San Diego County, California to Orange County, CA in 1998 and then to L.A. in the summer of 2010. Dancing to numerous styles some including long time friend / dance partner Tasha Skipps. With a strong background in professional dancing as well as acting, Shane was involved in musical theater from the age of 9. He became a principal dancer at the age of 14 in the wildly popular 2007 movie, High School Musical 2. The following year, he was booked on a 2008 Nickelodeon program, Dance on Sunset. Most recently, Shane has a recurring “guest star” role on the Disney original TV series, Good Luck Charlie. Shane also has a role in the upcoming Rob Reiner-directed film, Flipped, which will be released in September 2010. The movie will also feature his vocals on a Don & Juan remake.

Committed to enhancing his musical career on many levels, Shane is currently recording an EP of new songs, working with industry hit-maker Adam Anders of AMI Records, the renowned musical producer for the hit TV show, Glee. Shane’s debut album has release date planned for this summer.

Writing and creating his own music and lyrics, Shane is also a musician, specializing in acoustic guitar and piano. His pop and R&B influences include Justin Timberlake, John Mayer and Jason Mraz.

In addition to his accomplishments in the entertainment world, he has also earned a black belt in martial arts.

Overall Meaning

In the song “Jump”, Shane Harper describes his infatuation and falling in love with someone. From the very beginning of the song, we can see that he is deeply attracted to her not only because of her stunning beauty but also because of her charming character. In the first verse, he describes how her voice melts his heart and her smile lights up the room. He also recognizes the risk of falling for her, but he can’t help himself from trying to prevent it. In the second verse, he says that he doesn't know if their connection is pure magic or if it was bound to happen. He also recognizes the power of simple things like a kiss, which can make him fall for her.

The chorus clarifies how afraid he is of jumping in love and don't want to fall but at the same time, he is falling over and over again. He's asking for her help to jump together because he knows that he won't be able to do it alone. The second chorus gives different lyrics but still has the same message of risking everything to jump in love with the person he loves.
