seasons
Si-Fi Lyrics

I've got two girls on my mind
And I love them both
For different reasons
They fulfill my heart
I feel ashamed
And I don't want to hurt them
But I can't rank them
Cause my heart has changing seasons
Can somebody tell me how
I can trick my mind
In only desiring one
For the rest of my life
It'll be so much simpler
Less hurtful
No heartbroken
On desires I don't control
I've got two girls on my mind
And I love them both
For different reasons
They fulfill my heart
I feel ashamed
And I don't want to hurt them
But I can't rank them
Cause my heart has changing seasons
I know I can control my actions
Although feelings are stronger then reason
So is it just a ticking bomb
To push them in the bottom of my mind
It seems the more I restrain myself
The less lovable I became for them
Cause I'm always fighting in my mind
Instead of being in present time
I've got two girls on my mind
I've got two girls on my mind
I've got two girls on my mind
And I cannot rank them
Cause my heart has changing seasons
Is it possible to love more than one
In a society built for pairs
Is it possible to love more than one
Or is it just so unfair
I've got two girls on my mind
And I love them both
For different reasons
They fulfill my heart
I feel ashamed
And I don't want to hurt them

But I can't rank them
Cause my heart has changing seasons

Overall Meaning

In "Seasons," Si-Fi provides a scathing critique of society's lies and manipulation. The first stanza appears to be directed towards someone who has betrayed the rapper, but it also doubles as a metaphor for the way society can twist our words and intentions. Si-Fi is frustrated with the way people can speak out of both sides of their mouth and then pretend like they have never contradicted themselves. The repetition of "weaken" and "weaken" may signify a sense of disillusionment or hopelessness, as if the rapper has lost faith in humanity's ability to be truthful.

In the second stanza, Si-Fi gets even more political, dealing with themes of propaganda and censorship. The line "My life is not a pamphlet handed out to other guys" could be interpreted as a referendum on the way societies and governments can control the narratives of people's lives. Si-Fi seems to be pushing back on this, insisting that his own story is his to tell. The line "Fuck the rag shit, have the fucking facts bitch" is a clear indication of Si-Fi's anger and frustration at the media, who he believes is manipulating stories and controlling public opinion.

The chorus brings all these frustrations to a climax. Si-Fi is imploring us to "Wake up/ Do you see them," referring to the thousands of people who are accusing him of treason. He is telling us to turn off our TVs ("turn on your tele") and see reality for ourselves, to stop believing the lies that are being fed to us. The repeated refrain of "See I/ Repeat lies" is a warning to us all that we should be careful what we believe.
