Their music spans country, folk, indie rock and pop and comprises of Mark Lang (vocals/guitar), Chris Helm (drums/backing vocals), Sare Lang (bass/backing vocals) and Amanthi Lynch (keyboards). Skipping Girl Vinegar were known for their 'event'-style live performances and elaborate music videos.
Beginning in 2006 with an extensive original repertoire established before playing live. Their debut album 'Sift The Noise', also the name of their second single, was released late 2008. A second album 'Keep Calm and Carry the Monkey' was released in 2011 which saw the band gain a US audience and airplay with its accompanying singles 'You Can', 'Here She Comes' and 'Chase the Sun'.
Skipping Girl Vinegar opened the Splendour in the Grass festival, before releasing the singles "Wasted", "Chase the Sun",and "You Can", all taken from third album "Keep Calm and Carry The Monkey".
Following a tour with Irish band Ash, the single "Making Our Way" was released to radio in mid 2013. This was taken from their final album, The Great Wave released in mid-2015. Skipping Girl Vinegar disbanded in 2016.
