This is quickly evident when looking at their Facebook page and seeing them cover Taylor Swift or The Beatles. Defining where Sleep City fits musically can be as difficult as threading a needle, however, a hybrid of Pop/Punk with Jazz infused undertones would be a fair evaluation. The group of 20 somethings came together when the members were still in high school, drawing influences from acts like The Starting Line, Brand New, and Thrice. They’ve created a unique sound that is both aggressive and intricate, while still maintaining a pop sensibility.
