The band performed on the 1998 Ozzfest tour. On July 9, 1998, Strait was arrested in Mansfield, Massachusetts, for indecent exposure after emerging nude from the oversized toilet prop used by Limp Bizkit in their performances. The band began work on their second album. On December 11, 1998, Strait died in a car accident when a truck struck his car, killing him and his boxer, Dobbs. The band disbanded following Strait's death in 1998.
Snot had a new album recorded at the time of Lynn's death, but Strait had not recorded vocals for the album, it was decided that the album's vocal tracks would be completed by friends of Strait as a tribute called "Strait Up." It was released on November 7, 2000, featured appearances by the lead vocalists of Korn, Slipknot, Sevendust, Hed PE, Coal Chamber, Sugar Ray, System of a Down, Incubus and Soulfly, among others. It peaked at #56 on the Billboard 200.
A live album, Alive!, was released on July 30, 2002. It peaked at #12 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. On April 5, 2007, the band reunited for a performance in Anaheim, California, with vocals performed by Invitro singer Jeff Weber.
Ten years later, they attempted a comeback with former Divine Heresy vocalist, Tommy Vext.
As of May 21 2009, Tommy Cummings and Sonny Mayo left the band, which was renamed "Tons" in 2009. You can hear Tons with their new vocalist, Brandon Espinoza at http://www.myspace.com/tonsrock
I Jus' Lie
Snot Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm telling you what you want to hear
(or do you really take me true?)
It's what you need to feel before you
spread them legs for me
Although I look your way
you start to play your games again
Now come here
Shutup
You think this is real?
Cause I jus' lie
When I speak
About the sexual prowess I got
(you know I'm really not that great in bed)
10 seconds down
'bout 8 seconds longer than I got for you
Needed some quick relief and all I got was grief again
I guess I shoulda seen it comin'
Now shutup
Lie down
Put ya' to the test
(how'd ya guess)
I Jus' Lie
Well this choice is not just, mine
I Jus' Lie
And I don't make ties that bind
I've seen the games you play
And I'm wishin' you'd go away
No there's something I must find
Explain the reason why
I jus Lie
And I'm tired
Of this fucking eggshell walk
(yeah like you did ME a favor)
You think for one good screw
I'd trust someone like you at all?
Myself I know the excuse
So sorry you got used again
And of course I'll call you later
Now shutup
Get out
This one fell short
(you wonder why?)
I Jus' Lie
Well this choice is not just, mine
I Jus' Lie
And I don't make ties that bind
I've seen the games you play
And I'm wishin' you'd go away
No there's something I must find
Explain the reason why

The lyrics to Snot’s “I Jus’ Lie” describe a man who lies to a woman just to have sex with her. He tells her what she wants to hear, and pretends to be better in bed than he actually is. He’s aware of her games and doesn’t want to hear it when she plays them again. The chorus repeats the phrase “I Jus’ Lie” as a commentary on his tendency to deceive. He recognizes that the choice is not just his, and he doesn’t want to make ties that bind. The spoken word interlude includes a display of toxic masculinity and objectification of women, revealing the singer’s true intentions.
One interpretation of the song could be a commentary on the performative nature of relationships and the tendency to deceive to get what one wants. It exposes the negative impact that dishonesty and objectification can have on both parties involved. On another level, it highlights the importance of communication and mutual respect in forming healthy relationships.
