Seven Days
Son Ambulance Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
What did you need?(Underneath the eyes of a person you meet)
Seven days(Hides a blink of influence - the time you share)
If you're with me(A soft subtle smile it's impact unaware)
If you get scared(Gone in a flash in a passerby fashion)
Need to lay low(Strangers understanding in brief interaction)
And put on your shades(Guards go down the feelings let flow)
I would understand(Dying while we grow is as far as it goes)
(Ohh...ohh...ohh...)
(Ohh...ohh...ohh......)
(Ohh...ohh...ohh...)
If you can learn to trust me again our love can heal and live forever
The lyrics of Son Ambulance's song Seven Days tell a story of love, trust, and vulnerability. The first few lines highlight the connection between an ocean and the beach, which is similar to two people in love. They need each other just like the ocean needs the beach to reach its shore. The next line expresses the desire to understand what the other person needs, which is often hidden beneath their eyes. Then, the phrase "seven days" refers to the duration of time, which hides a blink of influence, or the impact two people share. If the other person is with them, they feel at ease and even smile unknowingly, which shows how much of an impact that person has on them. However, if they get scared, they need to lay low and put on their shades, meaning they need to protect themselves from external factors that may harm them emotionally. The next line expresses understanding, which is crucial in a relationship that traverses difficult times. The final line expresses the harsh reality of life, that dying while we grow is as far as it goes. But the singer wants to overcome such obstacles and learn to trust again, so that their love heals and thrives forever.
