@Alice Lee Thanks Alice! The first thing I got was an animation/copy stand, which has a mount for a camera so things are super stable. I got two table lights with clamps on both sides of where I worked and used Dragonframe, which is a really great pro stop-motion software.
Of course you can go way less intense with your setup and use your phone with a small tripod too. Also remember that if you're holding a shot for a sec don't just shoot one frame! Shoot a good amount (10 or so) frames and loop it, motion is essential I learned that the hard way at the beginning! Glad you're inspired, stop-motion is a lot of hard work in it's process but the end result is so satisfying!
