St. Finian's Caroling Choir Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Oh, come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant
Oh, come ye, oh, come ye, to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him, born the King of angels

Oh, come, let us adore Him, oh, come, let us adore Him
Oh, come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Oh, come, let us adore Him, oh, come, let us adore Him
Oh, come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above
Glory to God, all glory in the highest

Oh, come, let us adore Him, oh, come, let us adore Him
Oh, come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

Yea, Lord, we greet Thee, born this happy morning
Jesus, to Thee be all glory givin'
Word of the Father, now in flesh appearin'

Oh, come, let us adore Him, oh, come, let us adore Him
Oh, come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord

The repeated refrain echoes this call to adoration and invites all to join in singing and praising Christ the Lord. The second verse continues with the theme of singing and exultation, calling upon the heavenly choirs and citizens to join in the celebration and give glory to God in the highest.
