2- St. James was a 1-album (Americanman) solo project from singer Jaime St. James from Black 'n Blue, and more recently replaced Jani Lane as singer for Warrant in 2004.
3- St.James hails from the the ever budding state of Georgia, and evokes his roots through his timeless master piece entitled “Affection Puppets”. A producer, singer, and writer. St.James delivered a phenomenal project in creating Affection Puppets. Songs such as Monday Morning, Bang You’re Dead, and Not a Mystery are riveting, with a message so intrusive you think the song was made for you, and perhaps they were. That’s what St.James is good at. Intuitively speaking for the masses through his melodious, soft tempo, yet intently delivered that you feel a parallelism to the words within. Although the project was created in 2002, it went unnoticed, and now in 2013 we re-release the project under new management, and marketing. Let your affections become pawns to puppetry as harmonious melodies take you away on a ride…Follow the link to purchase this journey, and Enjoy! Hear the cd
Castles in the Sand
St. James Lyrics

These opposing views can be so out of touch
Oft times we reach too far
As we cast our lines at the shooting stars
I guess we try so hard to find ourselves and be free
We spend our lives chasing after things that we don't need
We build our castles in the sand
But we're surprised when the tide rolls in again
Then we get blown over again
So it seems with all our means
That we should be just fine
But when it comes to wants and needs
It can be hard to draw the line
No matter what you have there's always something more
So we look for happiness in having more than those next door
We build our castles in the sand
But we're surprised when the tide rolls in again
We throw all caution to the wind
Then we get blown over again
So everything is yet to be seen
And no one knows how this might end
And fortunes take so much longer to make
And you might break if you don't bend
So what's in store for the ones next door and do we even care
And what's at stake with the choices we make or is it neither here nor there
We build our castles in the sand
But we're surprised when the tide rolls in again
We throw all caution to the wind
Then we get blown over again
We build our castles in the sand
We're surprised when the tide rolls in again
We throw all caution to the wind
Then we get blown over again
Build our castles in the sand (In the sand...)
We're surprised when the tide rolls in again
Throw all caution to the wind (To the wind...)
Then we get blown over again
Build our castles in the sand (In the sand...)
And we're surprised when the tide rolls in again
Throw caution to the wind (To the wind...)
Then we get blown over again
Castles in the sand (In the sand...)
Surprised when the tide rolls in again
We throw all caution to the wind (To the wind...)
Then we get blown over again
Build our castles in the sand (In the sand...)
And we're surprised when the tide rolls in again
Throw all caution to the wind (To the wind...)
Then we get blown over again
Build our castles in the sand (In the sand...)
We're surprised when the tide rolls in again
We throw all caution to the wind (To the wind...)
Then we get blown over again
(In the sand... again and again)
(To the wind... over again)
The lyrics to St. James's song Castles In The Sand tell a story of lost love and broken promises. The song begins on a happy note, with the singer and their lover enjoying a day at the beach writing love letters in the sand. However, as the song progresses, it becomes clear that the promise of eternal love that was made in those letters was not kept, and the relationship has ended. The singer expresses heartache and disappointment as they watch the tide wash away their love letters, which now serve as a painful reminder of what could have been.
The contrasting emotions of the song are conveyed through St. James's vocals, which start off light and playful, then become more melancholic as the lyrics become sadder. The use of the metaphor of "castles in the sand" further emphasizes the fleeting and temporary nature of love, and how easily it can be washed away. Overall, the song is both nostalgic and painful, reminding listeners of the fragility of love and the reality of broken promises.

On a day like today we pass the time away writing love letters in the sand
Today, we are spending our time writing love letters on sand.
How you laughed when I cried each time I saw the tide
You found it amusing when I cried as the tide washed away our love letters.
Take our love letters from the sand
Please keep our love letters safe.
You made a vow that you would always be true
You promised to always remain faithful to me.
But somehow that vow meant nothing to you
Sadly, you did not uphold that promise.
Now my broken heart aches with every wave that breaks
Each wave serves as a painful reminder of my shattered heart.
Over love letters in the sand
These love letters, now gone, were once the foundation of our relationship.
