The duo consists of brothers Douglass and Bryan Enas. Bryan and Douglass create a wall of sound that is both grooving and aethereal. Brian's reserved vocals emanate just below the level of noise that is created by the combination of fuzzed-out guitar and on-point drum beats in such a way that they sometime register as a very in-place hum that adds to the overall sound.

The stagnant pool
Like a drowned coffin
Still as a deceased heart
Haunting the ghost of the noble crusader
Who recalls pellucid ice clutching the aching twigs
Never melting
Never a drop to disturb stagnation
Oh they say I'll never win
You'll always get beat
And like a drop of blood from the Devil's tap
I'm dragging the crusader behind
Slips purposely down the black hole back to hell
Steps purposely down the black hole back to hell

I found this song about eight or nine years ago...and it was just perfect, because it was one that helped me get through cancer. It reached me, and spoke to a part of me I didn’t even know existed...until I touched fingertips with death. So I truly feel this one deep within my heart and soul, and always will.
Eternally grateful for this beauty 🖤

Wow what a beautiful story. I think this is probably my favourite ever song, it's deep within me as well.

this is the truest definition of a masterpiece, something totally unique unto themselves. unattainable and priceless.
the overall pathos is stunningly poetic and sad and lost and beautiful.

I thought it was a fantastic burned-out chowderhead surf guitar homage..huh..Seems like music to me and not like prose..I'll still wax the board when I here it call me...haha..

My fav Felt song...30 years after this sounds as fresh and immortal as in the day it was released back in Feb 84.

I liked this song so much I played it 5 times in a row. Maurice Deebanks guitar work is sublime.

This is the Felt I'll always remember, not the later Creation years. Although 'Forever...' is a beautiful LP they tailed off after that one for me.
Their sound was anchored by Maurice and when he left he took a huge part of the band with him. He was impossible to replace.
The guy is one of my all time guitar players, up there with Kevin Shields, Syd Barrett, Robert Smith, Robin Guthrie, Kevin Parker, Richard Hawley, Vic Flick, Nick Drake......
All players who brought something different than what went before.
This track is a fine example of his peerless playing technique in full flow.
Sometimes less is more.
