3) Station (normally stylized as STATION) is the ambient project of a producer from the United States. STATION began in 2008 and communicates messages of yearning, haunting, and isolation.
4) Station is an electronic band from Elyria, OH. Its members consist of friends, Ryan Plas, and Bret Tilden.
Taking an unconventional approach to electronic music, Station limits themselves to hardware synths, drum machines and samplers, in combination with battery powered devices such as old casio tones, sound books, delay pedals, and tape players. All of these work together to make hypnotizing drones, clubbin beats, and throwback melodies that one can get lost in. Station is currently writing new material and organizing compiled footage to hopefully record an ep and vhs to put out by the end of summer 2011.

But it only leads to questions more and more
You might think you know the answer but there's more than meets the eye
And the absence of the reason means you're looking to the sky
In the middle of the night when you are too far gone
Holding out your hand for one more try
And I don't mind it if you choose to stay
All we have is a just a passing time
'Cause when you look and you don't see then you might find
Peace of mind
Flashing lights along the sidewalk as you make your way uptown
And the taxi takes the bridge to get you home
No mirror for reflection and it gives you time to think
If you're living for the next day or you're living for the dream
In the middle of the night when you are too far gone
Holding out your hand for one more try
I don't mind it if you run away
And I don't mind it if you choose to stay
All we have is a just a passing time
'Cause when you look and you don't see then you might find
Peace of mind
I don't mind it if you run away
And I don't mind it if you choose to stay
All we have is a just a passing time
'Cause when you look and you don't see then you might find
Peace of mind
The lyrics of "I Don't Mind" by Station delve into themes of introspection, uncertainty, and the pursuit of inner peace. The opening lines talk about reminiscing about a past encounter with a woman, but finding that it only leads to more questions and a deeper understanding that things are not always as they seem. The lyrics suggest that seeking answers or reasons for certain situations can ultimately lead to a sense of confusion and looking for clarity in the unknown, symbolized by "looking to the sky."
The chorus of the song expresses a sense of acceptance and detachment, as the singer declares that they don't mind if the person they are addressing decides to run away or stay. This could reflect a sense of understanding that people come and go in life, and that time is fleeting. The idea of "passing time" suggests a transient nature of relationships and experiences, hinting at the impermanence of life's moments.
The imagery of the cityscape and nighttime setting in the lyrics add to the mood of contemplation and solitude. The flashing lights, taxi rides, and lack of reflection mirror the internal conflict and confusion the singer is experiencing. There is a sense of pondering whether one's actions are driven by immediate gratification or a greater long-term goal. The mention of living for the next day or living for a dream highlights the tension between present desires and future aspirations.
The repeated chorus reinforces the message of acceptance and finding peace within oneself, regardless of external circumstances. The idea that finding peace of mind requires looking beyond what is visible suggests a deeper introspection and understanding of one's own emotions and motivations. Overall, the lyrics of "I Don't Mind" speak to the complexities of human emotions, the temporary nature of relationships, and the importance of finding inner peace amidst life's uncertainties.
