After couple of solo performances as a singer/songwriter, Dukat Stray a.k.a. Stray Dogg decided to form a band in the winter of 2011 with Ana Jankoviฤ and Jelena Damjanoviฤ who are the graduates of the Music Academy of Belgrade.
The band performed as a opening act to Chinawoman and Scout Niblett after only a couple of months ofpractice, with only a 4 song Demo available. The band needed another guitar player, and that's when Marko, former member of the Belgrade electropop band Inje, joined Stray Dogg to play solo guitar.
In 2011 they released their debut album "Almost" available for free download at their Bandcamp page. The album was recorded in a studio called "Baukova Soba".
In 2012, two new members (Uroลก Milkiฤ, Vladimir Miliฤeviฤ) joined the band during their concert tour. In October they released their second album titled "Fire's Never Wrong" following the July single release of the same title. Album brings 9 new songs, one of them, titled Time, features Devendra Banhart. This album is also available for free download at their Bandcamp page.

Don't Go
Stray Dogg Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Breaks me in two
Some things just die
Is that why you're blue
Don't go, please don't go,
It's dry without you, don't you know?
The lyrics of the song Don't Go by Stray Dogg reveal a story of a person pleading for someone not to leave them. The singer seems to be deeply affected by the sadness and tears of their loved one, and this is taking a toll on them as well. The first line "Can't see you cry" refers to the emotional burden of watching someone you care about cry and how this is breaking them apart. The second line "Breaks me in two" is metaphorical, suggesting that the pain of seeing someone cry makes them feel as if they are being torn apart. The third and fourth lines "Some things just die, Is that why you're blue" convey an almost reflective tone. It seems as if the person is contemplating whether the relationship is coming to an end, leading the cause of their loved one's sadness and why they are feeling blue.
The chorus "Don't go, please don't go, it's dry without you, don't you know?" is an emotional plea for the loved one not to leave them. The phrase "it's dry without you" suggests that the person is dependent on their loved one to make their life full and is incapable of coping without them. The tone of the song is melancholic but speaks to the importance of having someone in your life.
