I'm not surprised the makers of Precious went for this version, not for the lazy Fats Domino version, sung without animo and punch. In this one, everything is in its place, it's Chemistry, but than the one used in the perfume industry, not in pharmaceutics as Domino's version.

Everyone has their opinion and they are welcome to it. Back in the fifties, any decent song was covered by just about every record company. They controlled what every singer they had under contract would record. There were many very good singers who sang in different styles so you had your pick. This song was written in 1933 and through the years it's appeared on many recordings and several films.
