SweetHaven gained notoriety among Utahans after their songs began appearing in Mormon-based films that are so popular among the Mormon culture. The song "Go Back" has made them local icons.
Because of their association with Mormon cinema, most people believe SweetHaven is a "Christian Rock" band. This has never been the case. Their sound (which has been made harder and edgier for their upcoming sophomore release) is simply their sound and not their religion. In fact, both Matt and Gentry are atheists and detest being associated with any organized religion.
SweetHaven is currently recording their sophomore album. They have no plans to return to performing.

I know you wouldn't hurt any more than when you left
Then you would not have to be alone anymore
You only for you, You say you're happy whoop-a-dee-doo
You know that's not true
You're playing the fool
So you say it's whack so
Sleep- You get next to none
You're having a meltdown and jumping the gun.
You've heard of suggestions that hit like a ton?
Well I'll give you one:
Go back go
So you say it's whack so
If you don't go the end will be sad
If you won't then you'll lose all you
You've been running hard
You can't find your place
And the memories won't erase.
Ready, set...
Go back go
So you say it's whack so
Go back go
What threw you off track?
Go
The lyrics to SweetHaven's song Go Back offer a message to someone who has left and is struggling in their current situation. The singer is urging this person to return, saying that they wouldn't hurt any more than when they left and would no longer have to be alone. The chorus repeats "Go back go" and questions why this person is staying in a situation that they know is not making them happy.
The second verse describes the physical and emotional toll that this situation is taking on the person. They are not sleeping well and are having a "meltdown," which suggests that they are feeling overwhelmed and perhaps experiencing anxiety or depression. The singer offers a suggestion to "Go back go" and take control of their life again.
The final chorus warns of the consequences of not taking action and returning to a better place. The person risks losing everything they have been running so hard for and will be left with memories that won't go away. The song ends with the phrase "What threw you off track?" suggesting that there may have been a specific event or decision that led this person astray.
Overall, the lyrics to Go Back are a plea for someone to take action and return to a place where they feel happy and fulfilled. The repetition of "Go back go" emphasizes the urgency of the message and encourages the listener to take action before it is too late.

I love this song. Reminds me of exactly how I felt after my mission. Life was much more real and much harder once I got back. I had to make real life decisions, and in some cases made bad decisions. Don't get me wrong the mission was very hard for me. One of the hardest things I have ever had to do. But there was something so special about that time. It felt like I was only surrounded by positivity and wholesomeness, being away from media for all that time and being around some great people and the spiritual experinces. I only wish I had been more focussed and less focussed on my homesickness and struggles. The time goes by quickly and you'll miss it when you get home and unfortunately life will never be the same again. I saw and experienced miracles on my mission that I think about to this day and they keep me going. Make the most of your time and appreciate the time you have in and out of the mission because it goes by quickly.

I grew up morman, i'm atheist now but i remember these songs. I love them. I deleted them all in like 2010 and forgot all about them. I was very bitter religion wise but i can't help but love these songs. Man the nostalgia has never been more real.
