Can You Feel It
T.N.Y. Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We always stressing, 'bout how we're next and
Know all the methods, know all connections
Don't want suggestions, don't need your blessing
But still we feel the need to ask
One question

Can you feel it
So starting this off right
Is Heir Wallace

Shoutout my dawgs like a bad pet owner
A proud tech holder
If you hear
Doo doo doo
That's yo head and shoulders
Like what's dandruff? I mug bandits
And if I'm pulling out the cannon know it ain't candid
It's standard
You know
That thing y'all lowered
Like you gave it to Satan to get your placement ordered
You basement storage
Team on a greatness voyage
And since the workplace vacant we'll take it for 'em
Chillin' in the spaceship on the way to the form
That was five years ago
He ain't waiting for 'em
No patience on 'em
Still got the diagnosis
For the broken, hopeless, and basically torn
Ahh
Like good God I'll run your whole squad
Told 'em it's suicide try to fly with the boss
Shoutout to Bassi, Daygo to IE
We cocky and loaded with talent so we blastin' at any opps seen
How could you balance the advantage and say it's not me
Or family tree
That's why we asking

Can you feel it
Can you feel it
Can you feel it
Coming up right now to the mic we got rapper/producer
NoShenanigins
Aye yo NoSheesh
You ready
Hahaha

Write your thank you notes in advance I am the chosen one
Anointed one
I'm proud to admit their ain't anotha one
A lotta y'all don't come too equipped
That's why it's one and done
Thank God it happened now and not then
You might've never one
You're talking to the architect
My feelings making orchestras of time and stress
Plus secondary conquests
Like if it's like the blunt shh
I ain't even spark it yet
Chill homie
Not yet
Okay it's time now
You see it in my eyes now
Feel it in your spine now
Hear it from a distance new subscriptions in my life now
Surfing through the system with conviction that's a wipeout
Waiting in the grave of unknown bet I climb out
Been in the den for a minute
Shoutout to Melo
Staples Center driven matter of time
I repped the purp and yellow
Business plans with some risky fellows
If we talking Ninja Turtles
Bet you'd call me Donatello
The way I'm feeling now Ben
I'm feeling like Master Splinter
Can you feel that bitch

Can you feel it
Can you feel it
Can you feel it
Hahaha
And now
With no further introductions
Allow me to introduce
B3N

I see to kill the beat that some would sacrifice the vibe
Just to stand out in a Jackson 5
Y'all some
Homie hoppers or joining groups just to drop 'em
Intending to ride momentum not supporting the grind
I guess you and your loyalty both lie in clout
Reppin' and dissin' anything to keep you in mouths
I'm willing to bet my life once we hit ten stacks
You'll pop in our Neck of the Woods
To chop it up in a chat
Hell naw
I can never go fuck with you
Hell naw
This is the real issue
When collabs are strictly based off the views
Music is more like an ad for you to use
You do it because of marketing knowing it brings an audience
Uh
But what's the cost of living life in that margin
When music's only made for the public's taste
You'll never stand out tryna sound the same
I seek the best me not the people's blessing
And I'm the only one I ask this question

Can you feel it
Can you feel it
Can you feel it

Yes yes yes yes
Lemme shoutout some people who inspired me
Uhh
Spread Love
Where you at where you at
Sham Blak
Where you at where you at
Jon Keith been getting his stacks
Asante Prince
Still on the map
On the map
I'm dirty dancing like Mazhe
Freestyling like Amon and Verde
I'm not a joker in this shit like Bassi Boss
I don't play boy like Sebby and Rossi Rock
I try to keep it so S!mple with time I got
And get la gente
To quiere MΓ‘s
Hah
I'm feeling dangerous like E-Witty
I wanna be at peace like Canaan McKinney
I speak my truth and hope that they with me
And if they're not impressed with my Jam I'm not fearing
This to whom it may concern like Wallace shit
From street smarts to graduating colleges
And most of y'all don't know me

But I've been watching y'all closely
Hahaha

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in T.N.Y.'s song "Can You Feel It" talk about how the group know what they're doing and don't need anyone's approval, yet they still feel the need to ask whether people can feel what they're doing. The song is a collaboration between different artists and each artist adds their own perspective to the song. T.N.Y. is basically asking if their listeners can feel the vibe and energy of the song. The first paragraph of the song talks about how the group knows their methods and connections and they are focused on greatness, not suggestions or blessings. The second paragraph is NoShenanigins' perspective, highlighting his gratitude for being chosen and some of the challenges he faced before finally achieving his goals. The third and final verse is B3N's take on people who collaborate strictly based on the number of views they will get, while T.N.Y. wants to make music that resonates with people, and he hopes people can feel the energy and vibe of their work.

In essence, "Can You Feel It" is a song that signifies the confidence and determination of the artists involved. While they know what they're doing and don't need anyone's approval, they still want to know whether their work resonates with listeners. Without any more delay, let me introduce B3N.

I see to kill the beat that some would sacrifice the vibe Just to stand out in a Jackson 5 Y'all some Homie hoppers or joining groups just to drop 'em Intending to ride momentum not supporting the grind
Many people compromise the flow and feeling of their music just to stand out. They switch teams frequently and join groups just to quit later. They ride the wave of popularity but don't truly support the hard work that goes into creating music.

I guess you and your loyalty both lie in clout Reppin' and dissin' anything to keep you in mouths I'm willing to bet my life once we hit ten stacks You'll pop in our Neck of the Woods To chop it up in a chat

Hell naw I can never go fuck with you This is the real issue When collabs are strictly based off the views
No way. I cannot work with you. The real problem is when collaborations are founded solely on popularity.

Music is more like an ad for you to use You do it because of marketing knowing it brings an audience Uh But what's the cost of living life in that margin When music's only made for the public's taste You'll never stand out tryna sound the same
To you, music is just an advertisement to gain a following, and you use it purely for marketing purposes. However, there is a price to pay for living in that way. Music made for the public's taste will never allow you to stand out and be unique.

I seek the best me not the people's blessing And I'm the only one I ask this question Yes yes yes yes
I seek to be the best version of myself, not to gain the approval of others. The only person I need validation from is myself, which is why I keep asking if you can feel my talent.

I am dancing boldly like Mazhe, freestyling like Amon and Verde. I am not just a clown in this industry, like Bassi Boss. I am serious and professional when it comes to my music game. I strive to make everything I do look easy and manageable. And as I get more popular, I hope to win over more fans and supporters.

I'm feeling dangerous like E-Witty I wanna be at peace like Canaan McKinney I speak my truth and hope that they with me And if they're not impressed with my Jam I'm not fearing This to whom it may concern like Wallace shit From street smarts to graduating colleges And most of y'all don't know me But I've been watching y'all closely
I am feeling risky and daring like E-Witty but also desire to be at peace like Canaan McKinney. I speak my truth and hope others will support me. If they don't appreciate my music, I am not afraid. I write this to everyone, especially those doubting me. I have street smarts and have even graduated from college. Though many may not know me, I have been observing all of you closely.

Real instruments are not always played people.
Please stop. This was a music VIDEO.
Please understand how they are made.
Please understand how concerts are today.

All that jumping around and no reflection of it in their voice from the song you hear off the Cassette/CD/Radio should tell you something.

Live? Luther Van Dross concert was LOVE singing and you ca. HEAR the difference. It wasn't bad by any means. When. I went to a concert I paid to HEAR YOU SING... all the creative dancing is extra.

Again... I PAID to HEAR you SING.

I can listen to a CD any day and of course now it is all streaming. 🎢

Patti was another LIVE REAL singer I enjoyed.

These singers now put on dance shows to a track that they lipsync.

One popular artist got caught doing the National Anthem lipsyncing. 😏

Anyway...
It was a good song. I still enjoy hearing it.
Today most of the music to me is trash or borrowed from someone else.

I miss my R&B of Atlantic Starr, Cameo, SOS Band, Gap Band, Enchantments, etc...

@marciimeris503

@Gregory Howard worst boomer take ever "music is borrowed" you're the kinda person that allows the dua Lipa case to go to trial and not just get tossed in the trash for having 0 merit.

First of all, you go to a concert you don't "PAY TO HEAR THEM SING" You go for the live performance.

Rarely in a concert venue can you hear the singer clearly just because of how loud the other instruments tend to be. You can hear enough to follow along, but rarely rarely can you notice mistakes in pitch etc.

You're at the concert for a PERFORMANCE. That includes the smoke, lights, etc. If the band uses that. Just because (generic country singer #5027472) sits in one spot on stage and plays his music. Doesn't mean every band is going to do the same.

I've seen a band with 0 stage presence in the same lineup with starset a band with extreme amounts of stage presence... it was way more fun to watch starset.

These bands also don't owe you ANYTHING. Thinking they do is what takes the soul outta music!
