Started composing in 1993 with different aliases, project T.V.R. is started 2003. Naming is a tribute to The KLF and is basicly 'Kopyration Liberation Front' translated to finnish -> Tekijänoikeuksien VapautusRintama.

Artists own descriptions:

"You are not gonna find strict genre limitations or music theory based rules from material that i have created. My way to produce is based more to rhythms and sounds than melodies.. ..
I have another project which i use to produce Acid and Acid House type of material and T.V.R. exists for everything else that comes out.

Overall Meaning

The song "Night" by T.V.R. appears to be about two people spending a night together and enjoying each other's company, leaving behind any past baggage and just living for the moment. The lyrics suggest that the person listening to "blue jean baby" is experiencing a sort of emotional euphoria. You're right about the Aston, it was actually upgraded to Vantage Spec. Did not start out like that though and indeed is an automatic. Very good spot. The club also has one without the vantage upgrade.

Wasnt into classic cars when I was 17, 18 years old. Now I'm 21. And after I have been getting a ride to Le Mans in France in 2 1990's Alfa Romeo Spiders I changed my perspective. Now I drive a 1991 VW Golf and I love the fact that people appreciate these old cars. They are so much fun to drive. It's so mechanical.

And the club looks great, shame its £2500 for 6 months. Although I can see where the costs come from, maintaining a fleet of classic cars is very expensive lol

And yep the V8 Vantage was created completely as europes dup on the Ford Mustang Fastback. But whats very interesting is that the Mustang itself was created with a design nod to british GT's of the past.

Cars like those shown will be around forever! Admittedly, manufacturers won’t ever make anything like them again, but it’s the newer, more technologically advanced vehicles that won’t pass the test of time. Classics may end up having to run on alternative fuels and have specialist mechanics but there are people - folk like us - that will keep them on the roads because we understand, appreciate and enjoy them.

It is not a 1973 Rolls Royce Corniche, but a 1969-70 Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward Drop Head Coupe. The Classic Merc roadster has a manual hood & a manual hard top, nowadays electric folding hartop is mandatory. TVR is fun. Don't be fooled by the Aston Martin front airdam and 80s BBS wheels. The V8 Vantage was introduced in the late 70s.

KM C I agree. When they're talking about the Volvo P1800S engine they showed an XK6 Jaguar engine. The Rolls-Royce was an H reg, and if that Aston is a 1975 it would be a series one V8. It looks like a series two V8 Vantage from the early 1980s. Aston Martin didn't introduce the V8 Vantage until 1977, and they only made 38 of the series one. These are now worth a fortune! XCAR should have employed a researcher, or had a little less faith in the honesty of London's second hand car dealers. Either way, it's not a great advert for the Classic Car Club. If you Google DS5808 you can see a link to tradeclassics.com which shows that the Aston Martin is an automatic. Real Vantages are manuals.

you are right about the intro date of the Vantage. this car looks to me to be a mid 70s V8 with vantage body add ons but missing the rear spoiler. not sure about any engine modifications though.

funny thing about these old cars is the way they drive. especially older gt's. its not about top speed or how fast the car can lap a track. the top end cars of the 60's (even the lamborghini miura being a mid engined grand tourer basically) were not about driving fast. they were about not rushing to a destination and enjoying the drive and the time it took to get to a destination and so the older cars are actually more fun being driven at normal paces then fast and they're better for it... in fact because of the technology back in those days driving those cars fast was scary. even modern cars are going back to that old world way of making cars fun. ferraris doing it with the ff and the f12, maseratis doing it with the granturismo, alfa romeo is doing it with the disco volante. and of course the regular models from aston martin.

Nice video! However I if you want to drive a classic car you don't have to spend a lot of money. £2500 (The cost for a 6 month membership to that club) will get you a nice Triumph Spirtfire or MG Midget. They cost next to nothing to run and you own the car and get to drive it when you want, where you want. I did this and have thoroughly enjoyed my Triumph GT6 over the 3 years I have owned it.
