What's This Feeling

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴
What's this feeling?
What's this feeling?
What's this feeling?
What's this feeling?
What's this feeling?
Wow wow wow wow
What's this feeling?
What's this feeling?
What's this feeling?
What's this feeling?
The lyrics of TAEMIN's song "What's This Feeling" delve into the complex emotions and uncertainties that come with navigating love and relationships. The opening lines express a sense of disillusionment and mistrust towards others, with the singer feeling like they can't believe in anyone or anything except for one person who they still have faith in. This sets the tone for a journey of self-discovery and questioning throughout the song.
The lyrics continue to paint a picture of a skewed and deceptive world, where things may seem perfect on the surface but are actually filled with hidden challenges and pitfalls. The singer feels like they are walking on a flat road but constantly straying and falling off course unknowingly, highlighting the disorienting nature of their experiences and emotions in a seemingly straightforward path.
As the song progresses, the singer reflects on their own mistakes and uncertainties, questioning where they went wrong and feeling caught in an unfair and twisted fate of living in doubt and uncertainty. The imagery of cool, glassy eyes that see through emotions and a delicate heart being torn apart symbolize the internal conflict and vulnerability that the singer grapples with as they navigate their feelings.
The chorus repeatedly poses the question "What's this feeling?" reflecting the confusion and intensity of emotions the singer is experiencing. They express a sense of being unable to escape these overwhelming feelings, whether it be love or something else, and feeling lost in a blur of resistance and surrender. The song captures the essence of inner turmoil and the struggle to make sense of conflicting emotions, leaving the listener to ponder the complexity of human relationships and the search for truth and authenticity amidst uncertainty.
