He discovered blending dark alt-rock songwriting with innovative programming would help him become a more creative songwriter, rather than being a conventional rock band. He then dubbed the project Tapping The Vein. Eric brought his ideas to guitarist/songwriter Steve Stegg and bassist Lou Louvenir. He began a search for a vocalist and found the perfect match, Heather Thompson. In May 1996, They recorded their first ep and released it independently.
In late 1997, Steve and Lou decided to leave the band, and they were replaced with Joe Rolland and Mark Burkert. They independently recorded and released a second EP entitled "Undone".
They were signed to Nuclear Blast Record's new label Revolution Entertainment in the fall of 2000, and released a full length recording “The Damage” in 2002.
On June 2, 2009 the band released a new CD titled "Another Day Down" on the label Dancing Ferret Discs.

I really like the Banu Haqim archetype of the humanitarian vigilante (hunts down Kindred who gorge on humans) or burnt out hitman (tired of hit jobs, but owes a lot of money to the wrong people).

Dark Ages got me to love the Banu Haquim. Learning about the castes, history, and politics really turned them around for me since I only heard rumors. I played s sorcerer turned from an honored family of the clan. The idea was the family has been working close with the Banu for generations and every so often one gets picked to join the clan. My sorcerer(Al Qadir) was lucky enough to join with his older brother. Al Qadir was on the Path of Daena. Wanting to upload justice and protect the children of Seth

That concept sounds like it would work in v5 as a Cleaver Predator Type. Out of curiosity, what is the Path of Daena? I don't believe I've ever heard of that one.

@@VoivodeMekhet Its from the Dark Ages V20 and it teaches that virtuous acts and adhering to law and duty brings great personal power. So by being basically a lawful good citizen you tame the beast. Then it goes a step forward cause it also wants you to become the law. Cause laws means power, control, and chances to improve society.

Vtm: Dark Ages added so many layers to Banu Haqim/Clan Assamite.. I still love playing V20 Dark Ages.

I first started playing Assamite Antitribu within the Sabbat, then I got into VTM Dark Ages which allowed to play a warrior or sorceror. Dark Ages allowed me to flesh out a progenitor for a modern descendant.

In V5, I have a character who survived London by Night who pays somewhere between sorcerer and warrior.

I see you are dedicated to this clan. I've only ever had the chance to play Banu Haqim once and it was in a Dark Ages game. I was brought in to take out a few other player characters that had caused enough issues to have the ST bring in an assassin. That was back in the nights of Faith and Fire though. Second Edition revised dark ages.

There was a blue law in Calgary, Alberta that said if you were convicted of a crime, you could choose banishment. You got a horse, a rifle with ammo and two days worth of rations and water and were never to come back. It wasn't an ubran myth because I was there when they they cleared all the blue laws off the books and it was among them.

For Silent, I missed where you want the Banu Haqim concepts. This one is for you, "The Broker" You've been to Vienna after the fall and any other place where you can obtain occult items. Now sell and deal in artifacts and tomes. You made connections with the darkest part of the city you reside in.

You might be more right about banu haqim being the every man than you realize. The fight against injustice makes for an easier motive to work with a mixed splat group. Both hunters and werewolves can be given notes with names and addresses…

Thanks for the video this is good! I agree the archetypes in the Camarilla book are much better. Law Student, Blood Scholar's are good. My current Banu Haqim is the Arbiter, The Sheriff of the city.

What kind of a relationship does your Banu Haqim have with the rest of the Camarilla in your game?

@@VoivodeMekhet For our game, this is pre-Vermillion wedding. My Banu Haqim is effectively the experiment of the Banu Haqim joining the Camarilla. This is right after Vitel was "killed" So we are the court of D.C. Since he's Sheriff no one wants to be close to him outside of his Coterie. The best part is the coterie goes out of there way to keep things from him. They don't want to activate the Judge.

I don't hate that tremere has stolen blood sorcery. I just think the one they should have stolen it from is the Tzimitsce because they have their own blood magic as well Koldunism. And the tremere stealing blood sorcery from them would just make more sense to me. Considering they came into contact with them first.

Hi ! I'm waiting for the material about the clan Hecata. Are you going to reach out for Oblivion knowledge ? Im thinking about soul crafted or induced items from Oblivion, nature spirits like those from koldunic sorcery, and how to access them as one Hecate Kindred. Is that access possible and justified by lore of WoD ?

Great question!. We will be handling Hecata this upcoming Monday. We will be going over the clan lore primarily and not the Disciplines too in depth, but I do plan on doing more about Oblivion later on. But you know, it's all about time. Now working with nature spirits, you might want to take a look into the Blood Sigils book for v5. In that one they go over the different varieties of Blood Sorcery and Koldunism is covered in there. There are 5 rituals, one of them can be bought multiple times. Oblivion on the other hand is more interaction with the residents and environment of the Shadowlands.

V5 has made them so much more playable. Not just mechanically but also the social aspects. As much as some people would just love to keep things in the past with previous editions, the storyline for Vampire 5th edition has at least opened more than just "go here, kill that".
