Tekno Miles was first signed under K-Money Entertainment. His first single titled "Holiday" was released under the imprint. With featured vocals from Davido, "Holiday" was positively accepted and gained massive airplay.
In 2012 while in Abuja, Tekno Miles was spotted by renowned Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu at an event after Tekno Miles received a standing ovation following the performance of a song titled "Onye Ne Kwu", his remix of Ice Prince's "Oleku". The song "Rara" by Tekno highlights some of the issues facing Nigeria and calls for a change in mindset, particularly in the way people prioritize and address problems. The chorus of the song emphasizes the need to focus on the small things instead of the big things that may seem overwhelming and hard to achieve. The song makes a reference to the frequent power outages (Nepa no bring light) and the noise from generators (generator wan tear my ear). Other lyrics criticize the government officials (plenty greedy man) who prioritize their interests over those of the people they represent.
Furthermore, Tekno calls on Nigerians to invest in their country and make it a better place rather than sending money out to other nations. He encourages listeners to pray for themselves and their loved ones as well as work hard to create a better future for themselves and their country. The song also highlights some of the challenges citizens face such as difficulties in getting fuel for their generators, phone batteries dying, and having to hurry to travel overseas for work. Ultimately, the song encourages Nigerians to believe in themselves and to keep pushing forward despite the challenges they face.
