Bliss
Th'Dudes Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ya ya ya ya ya
Ya ya ya ya
Ya ya ya ya ya
Ya ya ya ya

Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another
Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another

Drink yourself more bliss
Have a stiff one all night
Everything is alright
Try and reach the bar
Coppers took the car
Offers from the sidewalk

Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another
Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another

Ya ya ya ya ya
Ya ya ya ya
Ya ya ya ya ya
Ya ya ya ya

Think I'm at full speed
Get it at the Coogee
Hello sailor cruising
Buy some Spanish shoes
Think I need falafel
Get it at the cross

Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another
Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another

Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another
Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one
Get yourself another

Drink yourself more bliss
Forget about the last one

Get yourself another
Drink yourself more bliss

Overall Meaning

The song "Bliss" by Th' Dudes speaks of the pursuit of happiness through the consumption of alcohol. The repetitive lyrics emphasize the idea of forgetting the past and indulging in the moment, as the singer drinks himself into a state of bliss. The song depicts the escapism that alcohol can provide, as the character embraces the night life and indulges himself in all the pleasures it has to offer.

The lyrics also suggest a sense of recklessness and danger associated with alcohol consumption. The line "Coppers took the car" implies the character drove under the influence and was caught by the police. However, the singer continues to embrace the "bliss" of the night despite the consequences.

Overall, "Bliss" captures the euphoria and careless attitude that comes with the consumption of alcohol. It portrays a world where one can forget about their problems and live in the moment, even if it means sacrificing their safety and well-being.

@2wheelGamer

Og lyrics were drink yourself more Piss lol piss mean beer/liqour alcohol in general here in NZ n Aussie

@daynasmum529

Theres very good reason why it isnt a worldwide phenomenon - Kiwis grossly overrate their music. Outside of NZ this song has pretty much zero quality level when compared to what the rest of the world has to offer. Aussie is about as far as theyre known - & aussie has bands light yrs ahead of these hopefulls.
