Thanks for the great video. Didn’t play for some time and I’m still wearing the old MS & BSW combo. Still does it’s job and I’m still wearing it because it’s fully golded out and the BSW inferno grind took ages back in the day lol. But sometimes I have sustain issues if there’s a fake healer in the group or one that only “heals”. Would False Gods work nice with MS or with BSW?

Thank you! So .09s is the avg time lost. You have .2s to weave without losing any time with it being a .8s skill. So on avg I’m c-frag and onto next skill at 1.09s

I'm just wondering what are other alternatives that you can use for the backbar besides the maelstrom inferno staff especially for the no trial gear? Let say I have a similar build to your gear setup in 51:48. Still trying to get at least the normal version.

Thank u! If u don’t have a maelstrom staff yet, you can just run the same set you have on your front bar. There aren’t really other good arena sets for mag to backbar.

i remember on stream vampire ult being slept on, was testing it on dummy with the new transformation mythic and the results were surprising, pretty close damage but in vamp ult you have like 55k max mag so all other skills gets a pretty big boost aswell

just mentioning it bec am a vamp atm when tanking sometimes for bahsei

So I've been trying different rotations and could never get past 50k. Tonight I tried the beginner 2pet build. I use Mother Sorrow body, Medusa jewelry and lightening on front and Maelstrom Inferno on back. Never thought I'd like crystal frags as a spammable but tried it and hit 58k! Dual wield light attacks proc ranged DV. If you run a staff on the front bar you'll need to either throw in some bashes to keep up the ranged buff, or if you use ele weapon as your spammable, that will also keep it up.

I’ve been confused about DV, I can see which skills proc melee / ranged supremacy but I don’t quite get which skills are melee / range and benefit from the respective proc. Is it the case that a skill that procs melee supremacy will also be one that is considered ranged and benefits from ranged supremacy ? Finally is it worth running a DV double stave set up since both light attacks are ranged? Oh, and finally, what do you think of using Daedric Tombs to dump mag during a Bahsei parse ? Sorry for the many questions, but I couldn't find answers to the DV usage anywhere else ... thanks again !

that's correct. you really just want to keep both up and then you are affecting all of your dmg.

really either. just depends on your situation and what you need. i like using crystal frags as my spammable for a lot of stuff and having the extra slot

Hmm, I got more damage from lightning form than from degeneration because using degeneration means missing 2 spammable casts. Casting both would be nice if heal can be forced to wear Twilight Remedy.
Also - are you sure about Twilight Tormentor ability? Judging by tooltip it SHOULD do more damage than spammable but I haven't tested it yet myself. Especially if your group have Elemental Catalyst.
Choosing spammable is a major pain now: Psijic one gives you free Diamond uptime (when combined with ranged attack), but with Crystal you can get more damage (you will have to bash air for 100% range supremacy uptime though). Ugh.

degen is 12s compared to 23s w/ boundless. so not quite twice as often you'll cast degen. so only roughly 1 extra spammable missed. also gives empower and the dot ticks harder. both are great options though.

for the tormentor question - it does seem like from the tooltip it should be worth it, however due to the way that damage done bonuses are all additive with each other and not multiplicative, it actually comes out nearly dead even with a plain cast of c-frags, just slightly lower, at a higher cost and 1 extra thing to keep up with in a rotation. maybe in a situation where you are soloing and don't have many dmg done bonuses i could see it possibly very very slightly passing a spammable. but the 7 ticks you get at 53% increased dmg just isn't quite enough to make it worth it.

@J Scott you will get the crit benefit only on your front bar. So your backbar abilities will get the benefit while they are ticking on your front bar but nothing will benefit while on your back bar.

yep, pretty much what jaden said. both are good. I have trouble seeing the math behind fire ring outperforming for most scenarios, but a lot of people are swearing by it. I'd say give it a shot and see what works better for you.

The reasoning is fire ring is buffed by engulfing flames and encratis, plus the soft execute (which does about 2k dps total out of 10k in my experience) theoretically is more practical in content because usually trash packs have 1 big add you focus down and the others just die on their own, rather than each add having the same killing priority. It's still very dividing and the fact that there is no clear answer just says that it isn't that big of a deal whether you use fire or shock. Because ultimately what makes you have big dick trash dps is having a good prebuff and/or dropping a destro.

Just depends what you are comfortable with really. You could try one of the other static ones and see how they feel, and if they are a little much for you at the moment, swap to the beginner one.

If you go on my page, just look under magicka dps guides and it is the last sorc vid i did before this. you won't get as much dmg with no pets, but it can be done.

all rotations here work w/ all of the different gear combos. pretty much pick whichever you are comfortable with. the dynamic being the top end but the most difficult. then the 2 static in the middle, then the beginner one for the easiest version.

I thought that certain skills that gave Sorcery and Prophecy like Inner Light, Critical Surge, and what not can't be stacked with the Spell Power potions.

@Lee McCarter ah yes i mentioned that if you aren’t using the spell power potions, and are instead using heroism or trash potions, those will get you the buffs you need

I need some help: I hit 89k dps with this build and rotation, but when the dummy is at 35% im starting to run out of magicka. I have the right food, postions and am at 900cp now + gear is max magicka. Dont really know why but I think I could get more dps with more magicka.
Maybe someone could help me :P

@Skinny Cheeks With magicka absorb I lose to much dmg, swaped to crystal as my spamalbe instead of force puls and dont have any issuess now^^ tyvm :D

you could use c-frags as your spammable and that opens up a barspot to use it. just keep in mind you can't be healed by outside sources when using it. very good skill for small group or solo play though.

@Ryan Hoock your other option would be to throw out a bash every time it runs out to keep it activated if you front bar it. But yeah your back bar abilities plus your prey should give you good uptimes since you are bodying it.

Well ideally diamond’s victory will be your front bar since that buff carries over and mother’s sorrow will not if it is only front barred. But also depends what spammable you are running. Ele wpn will be needed to proc DV consistently if you aren’t doing daggers if you are only front barring dv. So yes, it does matter. Does it matter a lot, not really. But it does make a dps diff. Jewels and body pieces don’t matter though, they are interchangeable however. So if you did 3 mother’s sorrow jewels and 2 body pieces then 3 DV body pieces and a staff that works just fine.

To answer the question, No it doesn’t matter. Because Mothers Sorrow is a light set, and DV is a craft set. Now if Mothers Sorrow was a Medium or Heavy set, then it would matter. Because you would use MS as Jewelry/Weapons and DV on the body.
Example: Medusa. It’s a heavy set. So you would use Medusa on Jewelry/Weapons and DV on Body. Hope that helps.
