i know, his voice sounds so much more emotional on this record. the production is definitely the best it's ever been, i'm proud of DL. for me, one of the places where the vocal pitch and guitar tone shine together is in the chambered nautilus, the first breakdown. when he says "let the ice caps melt, may none survive" the guitar is so guttural and his voice just sounds so hateful.

i love how he hits the whammy bar before it and drops that chord super low, and then BAM it hits you in the fucking face. this whole album is great dude and i hope this song isn't overlooked, the ending is spectacular.
