Eric Woolfson wrote most of the music and lyrics while Alan Parsons overviewed the production process. Prior to starting his Project, Parsons worked as an engineer with names such as the Beatles (Abbey Road, the Get Back roofttop concert) and Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon, Atom Heart Mother).
Since the 1990s Alan Parsons has been performing live shows, touring all over the world, but without Eric Woolfson.

I can change your mind
And if you need to believe in someone
Turn and look behind
When we were living in a dream world
Clouds got in the way
We gave it up in a moment of madness
And threw it all away
Don't answer me, don't break the silence
Don't let me win
Don't answer me, stay on your island
Don't let me in
Run away and hide from everyone
Can you change the things we've said and done?
If you believe in the power of magic
Its all a fantasy
So if you need to believe in someone
Just pretend its me
It ain't enough that we meet as strangers
I cant set you free
So will you turn your back forever on what you mean to me?
Don't answer me, don't break the silence
Don't let me win
Don't answer me, stay on your island
Don't let me in
Run away and hide from everyone
Can you change the things we've said and done?
Don't answer me, don't break the silence
Don't let me win
Don't answer me, stay on your island
Don't let me in
Run away and hide from everyone
Don't answer me, don't break the silence
Don't let me win
Don't answer me, stay on your island
Don't let me in
Can you change the things we've said and done?
Don't answer me, don't break the silence
Don't let me win
Don't answer me, stay on your island
The Alan Parsons Project's song Don't Answer Me is a heartbreaking reflection on lost love and the pain of regret. The opening lines, "If you believe in the power magic, I can change your mind," suggest that the singer is desperate to win back the affection of a former lover. However, the lines that follow reveal the complicating factors that make this impossible: "When we were living in a dream world, clouds got in the way. We gave it up in a moment of madness, and threw it all away." The singer laments the way their shared dream was derailed by something beyond their control, and the fact that they were unable to hold on to their love in the face of this challenge.
Despite the hurt and longing of the singer, there is a sense of resignation in the chorus: "Don't answer me, don't break the silence. Don't let me win. Don't answer me, stay on your island. Don't let me in." The repeated refrain emphasizes the futility of the singer's desire to bridge the gap between them and the former lover. It seems that both parties have retreated to their respective islands and are unwilling to engage with each other anymore. The final lines of the song, "Can you change the things we've said and done? Don't answer me, stay on your island," drive home the impossibility of undoing the past and the need for acceptance and moving on.
Overall, the lyrics to Don't Answer Me capture the pain of lost love and the difficulty of reconciling with someone after a rupture has occurred. The song's melancholic tone and catchy melody make it a memorable addition to The Alan Parsons Project's discography.

If you believe in the power magic
If you put too much faith in fantasy
I can change your mind
I can manipulate your thoughts.
And if you need to believe in someone
And if you need someone to believe in
Turn and look behind
Look to your past for answers
When we were living in a dream world
When we were lost in fantasy
Clouds got in the way
The reality set in
We gave it up in a moment of madness
We abandoned it because of foolishness
And threw it all away
And lost everything we had
Don't answer me, don't break the silence
Don't respond, stay silent
Don't let me win
Don't give me what I want
Don't answer me, stay on your island
Don't engage, remain isolated
Run away and hide from everyone
Flee and avoid all contact
Can you change the things we've said and done?
Can we undo all our previous words and emotions?

Disgusting stupidity and gynocentrism, not "love".
Слишком плохо, что такие глупые комментарии кто-то оставляет со студии. Стоило бы наказать бичевку и гоминидку иррациональную.
