Take My Hand
The Beautified Project Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But I know this can't be the end
You've know me for so many years
But I've changed living through despair
When I'm sitting on my own
Among corners of the room
That's when I feel ashamed
Take my hand and lift me up
I've been feeling so down
That's the way I've always felt
And Somehow I feel so proud
Take My hand, take me somewhere new
Away from here, far away from you
As teachers die, the preachers lie,
I'll take my toll on you
It's my only sin, my holly sin,
as I'm Bleeding over you
I've felt this pain for so many years
And I guess this could be the end
The song "Take my hand" by The Beautified Project talks about the pain that the singer has experienced and how they are looking for someone to help them get over it. The song tries to find meaning in despair and offers a message of hope through the chorus. The lyrics describe the singer's feeling of being lost and alone in the world where they feel like they are trapped in a corner.
The first stanza describes the pain that the singer has experienced multiple times but they are not ready to give up yet. The second stanza further explains the singer's feeling of loneliness when they are sitting alone in a room. The third stanza talks about how the singer wants someone to rescue them from their pain and take them somewhere new, far away from their current position. The lyrics depict the singer's hatred for authority and how they want to exact revenge by taking a toll on someone.
The chorus of the song offers a glimmer of hope, asking the listener to take the singer's hand and lift them up from their misery. The singer acknowledges that they have always felt down and they take pride in that feeling. The last line of the chorus talks about bleeding over someone, depicting the singer's vulnerability.
Overall, "Take my hand" by The Beautified Project tries to paint a picture of someone who is struggling with pain and loneliness. It offers hope in the form of a helping hand, but at the same time, it acknowledges the grim reality that the singer is facing.
