They made a name for themselves by consistently touring over the United States. Rather than signing with a known label, they initially decided to found their own, Chunksaah Records (named after their long-time friend Timmy Chunks), but are now releasing their albums on Epitaph Records.
The Bouncing Souls are one of the best selling and longest lived of the punk bands from New Jersey, following the legacy of previously successful punk bands Adrenalin OD and the Misfits.

Good Lookin' Out
The Bouncing Souls Lyrics

Want to give in, want to give up
Despair washes over you
Where do you go, what will you do
Your mind is racing in a million directions all at once
Where will you turn
You're not in this all alone
Just look around, and you'll see
I'm here for you, and you for me
It's hard to open up, just try and you'll see
True friends will always be there
Thinking back on what we had
All those times we shared
All those times good and bad
Our growing friendship has formed a bond
Never ending
You were there through it all, now it's my turn
There's no doubt, good lookin' out
When life's not fair
True friends will always be there
The Bouncing Souls' song Good Lookin' Out is about the important role that friendship plays during difficult times. The lyrics describe a moment of despair where the singer feels like giving up, but in the midst of the darkness, they realize that they are not alone. They urge the listener to look around and see that there are people who care and are willing to support them. The message is that true friends will be there through the good times and the bad, and that it's important to open up and share your struggles with those who care about you.
The song has a positive and uplifting feel to it, with a catchy melody that reinforces the message of unity and support. The repetition of the phrase "good lookin' out" creates a sense of camaraderie and solidarity, encouraging listeners to be there for each other. The lyrics also touch on the idea that friendship is a two-way street, with the singer acknowledging that their friend has been there for them in the past, and now it's their turn to return the favor.
In terms of the musical style, Good Lookin' Out is a classic punk rock song, with fast-paced drums, driving guitar riffs, and high-energy vocals. The song's upbeat tempo and catchy chorus make it a popular anthem for skateboarding and other extreme sports.
Overall, Good Lookin' Out is a powerful reminder of the importance of having good friends who can help you through tough times. It's a great song to listen to when you need a pick-me-up, or when you want to show your appreciation for the people in your life who have always been there for you.
