COME ON HOME
The Currys Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Come on home now, 'cause I spent some time away crawling on the ground
Come on home now, 'cause I'll be pulling my own weight this time around
If you don't think you want me anymore, can't you try one more time, babe?

I've been learning that running 'round ain't always wasting time
I've been learning to seek without caring what I find
I've been dying to talk with you, now would that be all right?
Come on home now. 'cause I feel a little foolish singing by myself
Come on home now and tell me, is there anything you see in anybody else?
And if you don't think you love me anymore, can't you try one last time babe?

I've been learning that running 'round ain't always wasting time

I've been learning to seek without caring what I find
I've been dying to talk with you, now would that be all right?

my favorite part is 2:20 when the bassist reveals that he is in fact not playing the song and confronts the viewer thereby exposing the artifice of the music video as a medium
