"Ladies Man" was their only top 40 single in the UK and "Get Loose" broke top 40 rock radio airplay in the US. This was followed by appearances on Letterman and the like. Many of The D4's songs have been used in commercials, movies and video games.
In 2006 The D4 announced that they were going on a indefinite hiatus. Lunadon went on to form The True Lovers in NYC with an album slated for release in 2010. Christmas formed Luger Boa and released their debut album in 2008.
Out of My Head
The D4 Lyrics

Get tight, Getting loaded
Walk right, on over
Turn up, Stay late
Time to nail me another mistake
Destroy, Displace
Outside of the human space
I gotta get myself some satisfaction
[Chorus]
Hey now! Hey now!
I gotta find a way to get out!
Hey now! Hey now!
Gotta get a ticket out!
Hey now hey now
Outta my head
Hey now hey now
Outta my head!
Pick up, Warp speed
Get a hold of the things I need
No calls, No show
No rain no place to go
Magazine, fade out
No time like, right now
Just one, solution
Yeah
I've gotta get things moving
[Chorus]
Out of my head [x3]
Taken way to much
And I'm cracking up
This place self destroyed
Defaced, paranoid
I'm going out of head! [x4]
The D4's song Out of My Head portrays the desire of the singer to escape from their mundane routine and to find some fervor in life. The song explicitly showcases a feeling of resignation towards life and the need to break free from the monotony. In the initial verses, the singer indulges in drinking and walking around aimlessly before looking for something exciting to do. The singer's frustration is evident in the chorus where the repetition of the opening lines signifies the desperation to break out of the cycle. The second verse also reflects the guitarist's resolve to make a change in their life by identifying what they need to do and departs from their current state of mind. The song ends on a dense note, where the singer reiterates their mental state and their need for escape.
The lyrics of the song resonate with anyone who is stuck in the drudgery of everyday life and those who are looking to break out of it. The D4's song Out of My Head exemplifies the freedom to choose your own path and not be confined to society's set standards. The overall composition of the song and the rebellious tone make it a perfect fit for anyone looking for an upbeat anthem that represents their innermost desires.
