What's Up
The Divine Young Stars Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Twenty-five years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination
I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means
And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I, I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say, Hey-ya-ya-yah
Hey-ya-yah
I said hey, what's going on?
And I say, Hey-ya-ya-yah
Hey-ya-yah
I said hey, what's going on?
Ooh, ooh
Oooooh
Oooooh
Ooh, ooh
Oooooh
Oooooh
And I try, oh my god do I try
I try all the time
In this institution
And I pray, oh my god do I pray
I pray every single day
For a revolution
And I say, Hey-ya-ya-yah
Hey-ya-yah
I said hey, what's going on?
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say, Hey-ya-ya-yah
Hey-ya-yah
I said hey, what's going on?
And I say, Hey-ya-ya-yah
Hey-ya-yah
I said hey, what's going on?
And I say, Hey-ya-ya-yah
Hey-ya-yah

I said hey, what's going on?
And I say, Hey-ya-ya-yah

They used an awful mugshot but she is quite pretty

@Hink Hall we’re in a world where black women are often described as unattractive. The media were mad heart throb Hugh Grant was caught with one instead of a white woman.

J Williams

@Hink Hall You don't think she would've been "dolled up" in her line of work? Mugshots don't necessarily get the most out of your looks, and your facial expression isn't going to best. She has a great smile, which was also missing in the mugshot. Hugh Grant also looks like crap in his mugshot.

Hink Hall

Lol

The problem is that this chick got dolled up for her court appearance knowing full well the press would be all over it but hor ny Hugh grant was indeed attracted to the trashy looking version of her. That’s when they took the mugshot. Right after getting caught.

So yeah, he threw away his relationship with young, hot Elizabeth Hurley in her prime over… this.

Peace Cai

People are idiots

Erik Lensherr

Lol!

Latest speculative news is that the state of Vermount in North Eastern USA is also going to relax it's laws on sex workers by legally allowing them to work as sex workers! 🤔
