the Evolutionaries are a musical group that prefer a mixture of electronic and acoustic music. Their latest release, The Last World (2014), is rock, metal, industrial, punk, and noise joined together in a gritty foray into rock 'n roll from a worm hole --- It is the sound of outer space garage rock played upon a lonely asteroid.
the Evolutionaries became "internet famous" in 2006 when their song Slave was included on the sound track of Dead Rising - an xbox 360 game in which one slays as many zombies as possible. As a result of that inclusion they have continued to enjoy steady plays on You Tube and across the web.
Similar sounding, well-known artists include Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Mindless Self Indulgence, Error, and White Zombie.

The Evolutionaries's song "This is not real" paints a vivid picture of a storm and the impact it has on the individual. The repetition of the line "This storm drives us from the ground" gives the sense of being carried away from one's sense of security and stability. The storm can be interpreted as a metaphor for the struggles and challenges that we face in life, particularly those that shake our foundations and force us to confront uncomfortable truths.
The line "Where we can't hide from what we've found" suggests that the storm has exposed something that has been hidden or ignored. This could be referring to internal struggles or external events that have caused turmoil and required a significant shift in perspective. The repetition of "This is not real" could be a way of grappling with the shock and disbelief that comes with confronting the unexpected.
Overall, "This is not real" is a powerful reminder that life can be unpredictable and challenging, but it's important to face these difficulties head on and find a way to move forward. The storm may have driven us from the ground, but we have the strength to weather it and emerge stronger on the other side.
