Here With Me
The Exhibits Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In the morning
Don't say you love me
'Cause I'll only kick you out of the door

I know your name is Rita
'Cause your perfume smelling sweeter
Since when I saw you down on the floor
guitar

Won't need to much persuading
I don't mean to sound degrading
But with a face like that
You got nothing to laugh about

Red lips hair and fingernails
I hear your a mean old Jezebel
Lets go up stairs and read my tarot cards

Stay with me
Stay with me
For tonight you better stay with me

Stay with me
Stay with me
For tonight you better stay with me

So in the morning
Please don't say you love me
'Cause you know I'll only kick you out the door

Yea I'll pay your cab fare home
You can even use my best cologne
Just don't be here in the morning when I wake up

Stay with me
Stay with me
'Cause tonight you better stay with me
Sit down, get up, get down

Stay with me
Stay with me
Cause tonight your going stay with me

Hey, whats your name again
Oh no, get down

Overall Meaning

The Exhibits's song "Here with me" has a distinctive and edgy tone that tells a story of a one night stand. The vocalist starts by warning the girl not to say "I love you" in the morning after their affectionate encounter, as he doesn't want anything deeper than the moment they share. He confesses that although he doesn't know much about the girl, she has caught his attention, and he wants her to stay with him for the night. He acknowledges her beauty and warns that she has a reputation for being tough and seductive.

The lyrics in the song are raw, passionate, and direct. The song is about sexual hunger and the need for physical intimacy that is empty of emotional complications. It presents the reality of a one-night stand in which two people pursue their physical desires without any emotional strings attached. The vocalist acknowledges his desire for the girl but doesn't want to commit to any emotional involvement beyond the moment they share.

In summary, "Here with me" is a song about lust, passion, and sexual desires without emotional attachment. It warns against developing deeper feelings and encourages living in the moment without caring about the future repercussions.

Really helps to make it concrete. I like how you make the THINKING process clear. Whether or not these are good examples of bias or not doesn't really matter. I think this video will be helpful to students in getting started with the process.

Anita Stern

In regards to linking your objects to theprompt, I feel as if you could have possibly added more on the "production of knowledge" part of the prompt; because you did well on the "inevitable" idea.

Ed Sage

I'm having trouble finding a good format for the written aspects of the exhibition. Is there anything comparable to the TK/PPD? Thanks

Artem Krazhan

amazing explanation, thank you very much ))

L Jo

Hey can you do a sample about what counts as a good justification for a claim?

Anthony Donovan

I appreciated your efforts and work. You diligently touched upon the many strengths and the few weaknesses it has. I was concerned, at first, about the interpretation of bias for the first two objects in relation to bias but if a student can explain, justify and rationalise as you have done, I think we have done our job. Skills to be taken forward in life. This whole 'assessment' has a simulation feel to it, randomness and imperfection, so we must remember that in our deliberations of 'best' and top marks! It is an experimental experiential! (I think!)Thanks again!

Hey, I was just asking whether choosing paintings of the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ in the different colours they are chosen for as an object to prove that bias can be driven by the desire to gain racial superiority under the question "is bias inevitable in the production of knowledge is a generic object or not?"

Theodore Mercutio

That seems a little far-fetched, doesn't it?

L Jo

Can you please make a sample about what’s counts as knowledge? Please

pratham lamba

do we have to show proof of personal interest in the essay?
