Following a limited release of their debut "Fill My Little World" in late 2005, the band entered the UK Top 10 with their first full release "Sewn" in March 2006. The single was one of the year's biggest radio hits, after being played first in the UK on the Dermot O'Leary Show, BBC Radio 2, along with their first live radio session.
Their debut album Twelve Stops and Home was released in the UK on June 5, 2006 and on February 27, 2007 in the US.
February 18th 2008 they released their second album, Join With Us.
Songfacts reports that Set My World On Fire, the first single from their third album, Together We Were Made, was released on May 1, 2011. Seven weeks later, the album was released on June 20, 2011.

Stylisticly, The Feeling have a debt of gratitude to the 70s, particularly bands such as 10cc, Supertramp, Pilot, Buggles, Queen, Stackridge, and other "progressive pop" acts. They are not averse to wearing their heart on their sleeve at gigs, playing covers of tunes by their favourite artists (such as 'Video Killed The Radio Star' by Buggles).
The Feeling have also followed the 'progressive' tradition of the concept album, with Twelve Stops and Home being a concept album about lost and unrequited love. The album starts with a relationship having just broken up, then follows through with the various emotions of the protagonist from hopeless dreamer to turning to drink for comfort, and finally slumping home.
miss you

Can you deny it
I was the only one for you
Everyone knows it
'cause we couldn't hide it
Nobody else got close its true
My love was stronger then you think
Well, I hope you know that I miss you
And I wonder where you've been
And I wonder who you've seen
And I hope that he's a friend
Do I miss you? (yeah)
Do I miss you? (yeah)
And I wonder where you been
And I hope you're with a friend
Everyone knows it
So don't you deny it
We had it all made down for two
Everyone knows it
'cause we couldn't hide it
I was the sea and the sky for you
All of a sudden the wind just changed direction
That big black cloud came rolling in
Well, I hope you know that I miss you
And I wonder where you've been
And I wonder who you've seen
And I hope that he's a friend
Do I miss you? (yeah)
Do I miss you? (yeah) Yes I do
And I wonder who you've seen
And I hope that he's a friend
The Feeling's song "Miss You" is a heartfelt declaration of love and longing for someone who has left. The lyrics speak of a love that was so strong that nobody else could come close to it, yet despite this, something happened that caused the relationship to fall apart. The verses seem to confront the person who left, with lines such as "Everyone knows it" and "Don't you deny it," suggesting that everyone around them knew the strength of their love.
As the song progresses, the lyrics become more introspective, with the singer questioning whether they truly miss their former partner or if it's simply a feeling of loneliness. The chorus repeats the title phrase, "Well, I hope you know that I miss you," while adding a note of uncertainty with the follow-up lines, "And I wonder where you've been / And I wonder who you've seen / And I hope that he's a friend." The final verse brings a melancholic feeling to the song, with the imagery of a storm brewing and the singer expressing their unshakeable desire for their loved one to return.
Overall, "Miss You" is an emotional and relatable song that explores the complexities of modern relationships and the pain of lost love.
