@@woppysue Thanks for the reply. Despite me not knowing you I am also happy that you can use your arms. I am not understating the severity of what you already are living with but to live 43 years with complete paralysis would be absolute torture. So it is good to know you are not in that predicament.

I have a mild neck injury which is a herniated disc and osteoarthritis and it sometimes causes me to lose the use of my arms but to date it has never lasted more than an hour before they come back to life, however the prognosis is that I may one day lose them completely or even become more severely paralysed, so it is something I think about quite often.

I do not think I would want to live if I was only a head that could blink, fed by tubes and unable to breathe unassisted, but if I could still use some limbs like my legs I would definitely want to live and bear the situation. We as humans are very good at adapting to the circumstances we are in, and your life is testament to that fact, as far as I can see.

I have no idea how your life is, but I imagine you use a computer a lot as they are perfect tools for socializing without having to physically travel to places. In some ways a Godsend. If you ever find yourself with time on your hands and you like to talk on the internet I would be happy to talk with you as I spend most of my social life on here. Not on YT, but the internet in general.

I have got a kitten now to keep me company and she does that perfectly. So yeah, thanks for sharing your story it was interesting (and horrifying) to read but it teaches me to maintain perspective about my own situation - that whatever you are going through, there is always someone going through something worse and they are surviving ok. I don't mean in a nasty way but your pain gives me strength and I wanna say thank you for that. Have a nice day or night wherever you are..

an interesting, and horrifying variation of the firing squad was in Thailand, where instead of a squad of shooters, the used a stationary machine gun. This is no longer in practice now however.

An electronically fired weapon, along the lines of the previously experimental "Metal Storm" gun could be employed in a Judicial Execution.
It could be a multi-barrelled system that is placed very close or directly to the Prisoner, with a wide array of ammunition firing simultaneously through the major organs and brain stem.
The Executioners could be many, each just pressing a button to arm and then fire the weapon that is computer controlled and providing the "Blank Cartridge" caveat.
