The Go-Go's hit song "Vacation" is a catchy tune about a woman who is struggling to get her ex out of her head while on vacation. The lead vocalist, Belinda Carlisle, sings to a fast-paced new wave sound that is common to the band. In the song's first verse, she expresses how she "can't seem to get [her] mind off of [her ex]." As she is stuck at home with nothing to do, she regrets not staying in the relationship. Carlisle's lyrics emphasize how a break can seem needed from another person, but it can be challenging to take your mind off them, even while enjoying a vacation.

I saw them in concert at age 48, and I danced on stage with them!
