Whilst golden scout is good because decent damage for such a low price, when you factor in the mode you're on, it makes a difference. Like normal and molten mode, the enemies are slow and dont do much damage, so you can afford to farm a bit or just wait for cash to spawn a unit, example being minigunner. Getting that minigunner to level 3 for 20 dps is 4,500 coins, a bit above golden scout but same dps. However when you account in the golden minigunners 30 dps, you start to think golden scout is less useful, like golden scout is good for multiplayer fallen since you get less cash per wave, plus you need it for hidden wave, but you only do that once.
While it is a good tower, I do feel like it is massively overrated.

You also forget that 1. GM is bearly different than mini gunner when using him in fallen mode except level 5. Level 3 GM agaibst defense enemies do the same dps as level 3 mini gunner. As much as GM is useful its hella overrated and using mini gunner will do a slightly worst job. Also he is rating them how useful they are compared to there counter part so....

Even though its been 2 weeks
Harry: I think I have some insight as to why the golden pyro's dps didnt increase. Its because the golden pyro's boost only increases normal damage and not the burn damage. It says 25 percent damage boost that means 2×.25+2=2.5 but since the game doesnt count decimals that would mean that the damage boost does nothing. It would be better if the devs turn the 25 percent boost to 50 percent to give it 1 more damage than the normal pyro.

I would say golden scout is great through waves 1-21 on molten. After that you need to have other towers or you will die. But halfway through the game with a very cheap tower is really good in my opinion.

A list of towers you would want:
1. Golden Minigunner, cause uh... very cool and also very good for almost every strategy
2. Golden Pyro/Scout, both equally good cause scout for hw and early game and pyro for event
3. Golden Cowboy, The cash is higher cause of 1 less shots for cash, so it’s recommended to spam level 0 until hidden come because of the price increase.

I actually use these five to solo fallen, farm, commander, dj, golden scout and ranger, golden scout is enough for all the hiddens while the ranger is the main dps for all the zombies, it would’ve been better for golden crook (my second golden skin) but you have to like actually try it, but using the golden scout, it’s so much better because it’s cheaper and there’s no placement limit.

The reason why gold pyro doesn’t get a damage buff is because the damage buff is 25% and at max level the pyro does 2 dmg so the damage buff doesn’t work because it doesn’t even give +1 damage

I just wanted to tell you a grinding strategy so the towers you need are gold soldier gold mini gunner commander and farm accelerator is optional so you place gold soldier at the start and then after like wave 10 you start to focus on gold mini gunners

I got extremely lucky with the first three gold towers i got. I have gold mini, gold pyro, and gold scout. Also, gold pyro got HELLA buffed so now its actually good because it no longer speeds up enemies. And the gold skin gives it HD.

TBH i think gold pyro is pretty good for early defense.(like u said) i would give it atleast on c teir because it is kinda good, kinda not, like cowboy.I also think its good cus if u cant get a good spot at the front, and u have to use the back, the pyro would speed up the process( not by much tho) so then u can beat the wave easier and faster.( also i commeted at the start without watching lol)

If I had to picked the best golden skins I would go for mini or because they can be good in most map and Golden mini is especially good in hardcore mode even though that it has the ROF bug in it it is still good in hardcore and some maps, golden scout is very be useful in most mode except hardcore, but golden scout is only useful in early to mid wave because late game you should have stronger tower at max by then, golden cowboy is only viable in solo mostly because of his farming money in solo and damage at max when soloing, crook boss should stay in 4th because damage buff are good, but only placement of 6, then solider would 5th place because of more burst but can be better than golden pyro buff, and Golden pyro should be last because of its damage bugged and it is still similar to normal pyro but have more range which makes it worse if you don't have stronger tower in the game yet in some waves, but still good vid and this all of my opinion.

6:00 I believe its burn damage was supposed to get the 25% damage buff but it doesnt work (and never has) so while the buff exists it cant affect the normal damage and doesnt affect the burn damage

Place 2 lvl1 Golden Scouts and farm for 1 lvl3 golden scout and then continue farming for Turret/Accelerator/Ranger.
Place 1 Golden Soldier in a U-turn and get it to lvl3 before wave8 (usually only works in solo Molten) and then farm for Turret/Accelerator/Ranger.

I agree when u say that golden scout is better than golden mini. Golden mini can be replaced by a heck ton of towers, all better than it, such as Toxic Gunner, Accelerator, Gladiator, and a few others. Golden scout is only replaceable by Gladiator, and even with the gamepass, I haven’t seen many people who actually have it. Golden scout is great from early game to mid game, and Mini’s only ok in those parts of the game. Plus, the golden buff for mini only applies in level 3 now, but everybody just upgrades it to level 2, and the golden buff doesn’t even exist. Golden scout has a HUGE buff for all levels, and it’s extremely cheap, so the only good levels for it (level 3 and 4) are insanely cheap, so that’s my pick.

I say all gold skins r cool and useful in sum situations, minus the soldier lol. But scout/soldiers wouldn't be great for late game which is what most people want from a tower. I'd be happy If I got the gold cowboy.

I now see that Golden Pyro isn't that bad and I have even more respect for u than I did before. One thing I'd like to add is that the laser noise the golden scout makes at max level is so satisfying for no reason, it just is which is why I use it so much.

I almost solo ed fallen with just mili base and rangers on sky lands. But I lost to the tank because I had only 5 rangers and 5 tanks

He never said that it was the inly tower with piercing damage, he just said it was a benefit

I would say golden scout is the most useful but stat wise golden mini is the best

Pyro and gold pro have same damage bc it never goes up above 4 (burn damage is separate like soldier burst count)

It's actually good because it spawns Crook and the other upgrade Crook Crook and Ranger makes a good team I tried it and I won in molted

wait I'm late, THAT AIN'T GOING TO STOP ME! So, the only changes I'd make is Golden Pyro be a swapping positions with Golden Solider and Golden Cowboy swapping positions with Golden Minigunner. Golden Minigunner is VERY overpowered, but Golden Scout holds 1st because it is the second best early defense! (for those who don't know what the 1st best early def is, it's gladiator)

golden mini gunner is the best, due to his dmg buff, and good firerate and good dmg is a very good combo, golden scout deserve the 3rd place, because he is very bad on late game very bad, while golden mini gunner does very good amount of dmg
