Scientology has local police and sheriffs on their payroll. This has been very common in Clearwater Florida where their mothership is. The Riverside area law enforcement is on Scientology speed dial. Showing up at their front gate will get you no where other than get you into an altercation with law enforcement. And there are sniper locations inside the base with more automatic weapons, night vision motion sensor HD video surveillance etc than you can shake a stick at. The FBI interviewed escapee's and were all set to raid the compound, they were told by the escaped Scientologists (now former) that the people inside "The Hole" are thoroughly brain washed and would not elect to leave on their own accord. The indoctrination goes that deep. Putting pressure on government officials who are on oversight committees is what is needed. Showing up en mass protests on public land however would be a public relations stunt that could bring more attention, just make sure the media is alerted ahead of time. And probably stay off their property.

I think it's far more likely that the judge who made this ruling was a Scientologist himself. They love to woo celebrities and powerful figures by treating them MUCH differently than they do the people under their direct control. I also live very close to this place and they pay good money for security as well as keeping as little contact with the outside community makes it extremely hard for us locals to know exactly what they are doing or what's going on. This kind of reminds me about this one group in my town that talked to my mom about some religious stuff and took her to some building, with a couple other people for 3 days and they spent those day with very limited food/water, no sleep, and absolutely no contact to anyone with a cellular device. Those 3 days, she spent praying and repenting while me and my siblings were left to stay at the house with only a 100 dollars.
She did come back, but she was still the same as before, the rest of the people who came back literally pasted out due to exhaustion. I don't know about you but I've been really sketchy about that group ever since.

Every time I happen to watch one of these YouTube videos I then have to relate a story about my interactions with the supposed Church, of Scientology. It starts with me getting a job in the HVAC field with a company that was the primary one to be called out to this old golf course country club like place in San Jacinto. We worked on all kinds of HVAC but were specialists with regard to what is called gas HVAC where the primary source of energy is not electricity but is gas, so instead of a compressor to move the Freon, there is a Heat exchanger to move the Ammonia or Bromide gas solution which is the refrigerant instead of Freon. Anyway I was dispatched out to the old golf course country club and was surprised to see a brand new fence all the way around with a brand new guard house fully manned with gun wielding guards and dogs. As I checked in and was searched top to bottom including mirrors to see all underneath my vehicle and dogs to sniff out I don't know what, a couple of guys came out to meet me and guide me through the facility and for me to pretty much teach them as much as I could on just a service call. So as I did nothing more than service this machine and teach these guys as much as I could in the time available I then left through the main dinning hall that was set up with wall to wall tables set out with nothing but L. Ron Hubbard Books, Dianetics I think. Now as astonishing it was to be searched better than if I was entering a military base(yes I was in the Air Force), the shocking thing for me was, as I left they searched me and my vehicle and my equipment and my tools even more so than upon entering. Ever since I have told this story to anyone who would listen and realize how much of a mind screw religion, I use the term religion loosely, it was and is even now. Just Saying

Just to clarify for all of you who are saying things like, "Why doesn't the FBI do something," it's because none of these prisoners want to be rescued. You have to understand that strict religious environments like Scientology don't function by keeping you prison physically, but rather financially. A lot of these people have no money or places to go, and their families are either part of the church or have forsaken them for joining the church. It's like how an abusive family can get away with this type of shit - their control extends beyond just keeping you confined and monitored. It's about limiting your alternatives, and making you sure that you have none.

Sad part is, is that it sounds like most of the "prisoners" wouldn't leave if they we able to. Like the video said they are brainwashed to believe that they deserve to be in the hole. It's frightening and sad.

I don't doubt that it exists, but there's something I don't understand: Shouldn't there be people that are aware that someone they know involved with Scientology has gone missing? It seems like it shouldn't be too difficult to get a warrant if they were to investigate a missing person case.

I was in drug rehab in Florida back in 2011 and heard a lot of stories about their many labor camps that are disguised as rehabilitation centers. They then tell your family you relapsed and you ran away. This is just heresay but one girl started crying and breaking down talking about her imprisonment. She didn't know where she was and had to cut herself on razorfence to escape. Police didn't believe her of course and she was sent home with her family screaming at her for "relapsing" and not believing a word she said. Scientology is not only a cult it's a mafia. Slavers. The worst dregs of humanity.

The church is dying actually, especially after the 4chan IRL raids back in the good ol' 2000s.
Most of their members are either leaving or are too financially set to care, close to no one joins anymore,and those that do are usually brought in by family members.

I too live fairly close to this place. It's not, "in the San Jacinto mountains" as reported, and there are a few other things here that are incorrect, but for the most part, this seems to be accurate. I don't know about 'the hole', but for years there was a really large pole that was visible from the street; much like a telephone/power pole. The location of this pole can be seen at about 1:28 on the video in that dirt area about 12 o'clock from the 'golf course'.

Anyway, we used to see people walking in circles around the pole. So much so that the dirt around it had been worn down a few feet; in fact, you can still see the worn away circle in the video at the timestamp mentioned above; to the lower right of the white buildings in that shot.

If we drove by in the morning on the way out of town, we would see the same zombies circling the pole hours later. Always thought that must have been some sort of punishment as well.

There's a scientoly place in my city. First before I knew what they were they had this tent set up with pamphlets at a free council funded festival. I picked up a paper pamphlet and the weird guy there said it cost 4 quid. After that I seen them a couple times. Hope they all doing well each to his own I guess

I like how there are so many people in the comments who are like, "Oh gosh! This is unethical! It must be stopped immediately!" Like - wow, no one had ever thought or said this this in the 60+ years that Scientology has been successfully operating and completely trampling over people's freedom.

My dad almost got sucked into Scientology. He said he was led into a room and they had a picture of L. Ron Hubbard on the wall while an audio recording played of one of Hubbard's testimonies in the background. He left because he thought they were weird and the person who led him to the room asked him "Don't you believe?" And he said, "Hell No! I'm Catholic"

The fact that people have to ESCAPE and cannot just walk out is very unsettling and in my opinion illegal. You cannot hold someone against their will. They are not a church, they are a cult and should be treated as such. They need to lose their church status and start paying taxes. The “Church” of Scientology needs to fall.

My aunt was part of a christian church singing group and was doing a performance that was being hosted by the church of scientology on el Ron hubbard way in california I did not know of scientology and didnt care about any of that stuff but I went to support my aunt while at the theater I was invited for a tour of the premises by a lady I was the only one who went because my cousins stayed at the theatre once inside I knew I was not safe the church was full of women hardly any men and they were all very beautiful but gave off a un easy vibe it's long story but to make it short I was able to leave but not after being met with alot of statements to bring me down like if I cant buy a book then how can I afford to eat or pay for gas etc crazy experiance.

I live in San Jacinto and I've played at the gold base golf course with my highschool band also played a birthday show there and it's pretty Erie over there. I've passed by it many times and there's been rumors about the camps in sj as well as Hemet which is the neighboring city. It's crazy to think that golden era is like 5 minutes from my community college. I guess the Scientology hq is my claim to fame lol
