SCP 847 is a HORRIFYINGLY accurate representation of what it’s like to be abandoned by an abuser, especially if they manipulated you into loving them and needing them and what they did to you, and feeling useless without it. Seriously chilling.
I also have to say that as someone who is often half deaf due to chronic earwax blockage that makes it hard to hear anything at all, I really appreciate the subtitles on these videos. It may not sound like much but it really disables me from being able to hear anything, especially if I’m laying on one side, so the subtitles help so much

Is it just me or does SCP-1765 sound like the fates from Greek mythology? Hear me out, the connection is odd but eeriely solid. The fates in Greek mythology are three sisters who could not only see the past, future, and present but also were holders of the strings of fate. The fates would measure each string that symbolizes the life span of a mortal and when the time comes would cut the string to end the life of the one who the string belonged to. The fates all were blind and shared one eye to see, giving them different views of the same world. Each sister is different. One may be considered lenient and kind, another sadistic and cruel, and one enigmatic and silent which often were used as symbols of fate. They could all be cruel in their own way and never tire of toying with the humans they observed. Some would live long lives and other short ones but all were at the whim of the fates. The fates could also control certain things like destiny of the mortals or who they meet. The loom is sometimes present too symbolizing weaving connections with many people in society, the needle to guide the thread in the loom on it journey. Of course I'm just speculating.

The fates were not blind, sharing an eye. Those were the three immortal gorgon sisters, so it's a bit of mapping onto both the Fates and the Gorgons. The theory is certainly good outside of that point, but is somewhat let down by the fact that the sisters do not seem to ever engage with their supposed items and have no real interaction amongst each other once they established their respective experiment zones, that we are made aware of. Yeah, that could be part of what they choose to let the Foundation know about, but that's also somewhat poor writing to dangle that hook and never pay it off even slightly. It's like a Chekov's gun, in which Chekov is shot, and the gun is melted down for scrap.

4205 made me remember that like a year ago I was laying on the couch in the middle of the night, home alone, and started seeing these bright yellow lights coming between the shutters. When I moved they didn't skew like lights do. I snapchatted a picture to my friends and thought I saved the photo because it caught it really well, however it didn't save.

For dealing with the sisters, why don't they send a ton of D-class people inside with a note saying "Hey, Sisters. We were wondering if you could replace your subjects with these ones for us? We usually use these guys, so it'd make our note comparisons much easier. Don't worry, we have plenty more. Keep up the good work!"
Best case scenario, the sisters release some or all of the prisoners. Worst case scenario, they take the D's and give us a note saying "No". As long as you write the note to be as polite as possible, they'd most likely have no reason to attempt escape.

I think 178 is the first SCP entry I read. I think I saw the intro of a Lets Play for Containment Breach and realized the premise was a whole big thing, then tried to look it up. But I got 173 and 178 confused. I was baffled as to what these creepy invisible gorillas had to do with a statue until realized I got the number wrong, but was so absorbed I couldn't stop reading. The premise was not at all scary to me, but whoever authored that file is a wordsmith. At the end, I had gone from being indifferent to 3-D glasses or bipedal gorilla beasts, to being absolutely fucking terrified and thrilled.

I don't think it is objectively the scariest SCP, but perhaps because it was my first experience of one, it has remained a favourite. And it creeps into my brain sometimes and makes me shudder. Delightful~ :)

This theory is that when Scranton was trapped, his mind did decay as did his body, and when the panel returned, so did Scranton.. as SCP-106. (In this video theory, it went for his wife and killed her when it embraced her, which honestly is just a little bit of a heartbreaking detail).

I was thinking the same thing I think it would be required to happen regularly, and keep it happy. Probably the best way to contain it. Keep feeding it compliments, however you never know if that would change the behavior of it for worse I could see it becoming more possessive of the people complimenting her until it ends up becoming dangerous for them as well.

Is it just me, or does the smiling of the researchers, task force, etc, feel very off sometimes? Like, after having to shoot a civilian in the head, or when finding information on a particularly disturbing creature. I wouldn't be reading this like "oh boy, this sure is worse than we thought!"

Maybe I'm wrong, but the smiling is sometimes more unsettling than the actual SCP.
