A genuine warrior-poet, Jim O'Ferrell served as an Airborne Ranger Infantryman for more than two decades. After returning from the war in Iraq in 2008, he ended his military service and traded his rifle for a guitar. Teaming up with friend and fellow guitarist Jason Crawford, they became the core of The J.O.B. They are joined by Justin Poroszok on bass and Antonio James Jr on the drummer's throne. The band has an energetic modern rock sound with an Americana pulse that everyone can listen to.
The J.O.B.'s first project of 2012 was an EP titled 'Letters'. It was released on January 10th. A single from that project, 'Messenger' found a large audience with secondary commercial radio and college radio stations. As of 7/30/12, 'Messenger' was in its 24th week as one of the Top 100 songs played on adult contemporary radio stations in the United States. The song enjoyed five of those weeks in the AC Top 40, rising to #28 on the FMQB Top 40 Chart for adult contemporary radio stations.
The J.O.B. (aka The Jim O'Ferrell Band) has also had two previous songs appear on national music charts. 'El Dorado' from the band's first album and '1925' from the second album both appeared on the Up & Coming Top 40 Charts in New Music Weekly.
The J.O.B.'s music enjoys airtime on commercial & independent radio stations worldwide.
