For their early recordings like this, from the late 1920s - mid 1930s, On the label of the record, there would be something along the short lines of "Four Boys and a Guitar" to the detailed lines saying "No Musical or Mechanical Instrument was used in this recording other than One Guitar." These guy's pretty much the first people to ever mimic trumpets, bass, Trombones, any other instruments with their voices , and they were the first to make ALL their songs like it. They are the ones that are directly responsible for this part of Doo-Wop. That's mostly why they were picked up so quickly and had hits from the 1930s to the 1960s.
