End of the World
The Motorhomes Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

The end of the world was announced some time ago
But the closer it gets less it seems you want to know
The end of the world was it all, all I could get
I wasted my time, feel no remorse, have no regrets

Leave me here where I belong
All heroes are gone, stayed here too long
Leave me here, I'm on my own
With the greatest pain I've ever known

A second hand man with no plan, nothing to do
I've gone out of style, have no chance to keep up with you

Leave me here where I belong
All heroes are gone, stayed here too long
Leave me here, I'm on my own
With the greatest pain I've ever known

Leave me here where I belong
All heroes are gone, stayed here too long

Leave me here, I'm on my own
With the greatest pain I've ever known

Overall Meaning

The Motorhomes's "End Of The World" is a song that reflects upon the end of the world, both literally and figuratively. The song starts off by stating that the end of the world has been announced (either as a reference to the biblical apocalypse or the figurative end of the world as we know it), however, as it gets closer, the singer seems to lose interest in the idea. The singer admits that they wasted their time, but they feel no remorse and have no regrets. This could represent a person who has lived their life recklessly without caring about consequences or a person who has given up on life altogether, feeling like it's all futile.

The chorus of the song is particularly poignant, as the singer asks to be left where they belong. They believe that all heroes are gone and they have stayed in the same place for too long. The singer is resigned to their fate and knows that they must face their own personal apocalypse alone. The singer is left with the greatest pain they have ever known as they face the end of their world.

Overall, "End Of The World" is a powerful song that delves into the human experience of nihilism, despair, and a perceived sense of futility. It can be interpreted in many different ways depending on the listener's perspective and life experiences.

I’m about to go back and watch it again. I get so thrilled looking at larger RV’s. These were so beautiful. That one that looked sort of European was so cool, but it felt a little too sleek and fancy for me. My favorite was the last one not because of it size but because it had a more”Down Home” feel.
If I had money, the first thing I would buy myself is an RV. But it would have to be small enough for me to drive it. Currently I have a Scotty that I pull behind my Pilot. No, it’s not big enough......,but I still love it. Thanks you guys for a Wonderful video, fun, fun, fun!

I have a 34 foot. I can't image driving the 'largest' RV in the city and expect to make turns in intersections. Not to mention it has a boat on the end. Most people don't know how to drive a normal sized RV.

LOL! That's what I was thinking you'd be sitting at a light in TWO intersections simultaneously!

There are actually tons of beautifully designed RV interiors unlike these hideous ones which have the spirit animal of a “luxury” hick tub. My racing teammate just built one for example. Go to VanLife website to see how pretty the interiors can actually be.
