Crashing Down
The Nolans Lyrics

Looks like I'm gonna lose your love this time
She says I cheated on you for too long
And don't I realise I ain't that strong
But now the night are so cold and I'm lonely
Lost without all your love
I come crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Like a stone to the ground
Yeah, I come crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Now your love ain't around
Yeah, I ain't a child with tears to hide
All my emotions hidden deep inside
With you I really thought I had it all
One day higher then you take the fall
But now the nights are so cold and lonely
Lost without all your love
I come crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Like a stone to the ground
Yeah, I come crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Now your love ain't around
Oh, I wanted you, loved you, needed you
Losin' you baby, cheated on you, lied to you
Now I'm crashing down
Crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Like a stone to the ground
Yeah, crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Now your love ain't around
Oh, crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Like a stone to the ground
Yeah, crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down
Now your love ain't around
Crashing down, down, down
Crashing down, down, down

trying to get inside the head of british record buyers can be a VERY frustrating experience...after a STRING of UK hit singles stretching back to late 1979 this GEM was issued in mid '82 to unbelievable apathy!. I was conviced this would be hugh and still to this day consider it their best single. Why the record buyers would abandon them at this point is beyond me. Very special thanks to Micheal for posting.

Good as ABBA and totally underrated outside the UK. The Nolans were fantastic

A great disco number. Sure to be revived on a vinyl disco night by me. They smashed it out the window with this track. Great production

The photo on the "Crashing Down" album cover is my favourite photograph of The Nolans (ever). I echo others' comments about how disappointing it was that this wasn't a single. As a Nolan's fan, how can you not love and get into this? Crashing DOWN, DOWN...Down...Down...!

The photograph on this album cover of Coleen, Linda, Maureen and Bernie is definitely frame-worthy. I'm not huge on people having photos of themselves up in their home (unless it's a family portrait) and if I was one of these women I would definitely have this photograph blown up and framed and put on display...it's that good (to me). I'm a picky Virgo, and the only thing that stops me from giving it a complete 100% is Linda's mouth. Their mouths and expressions are all alike, almost perfect, but Linda's is a tiny bit tight - I would have wanted her to loosen her mouth a teeny bit (sorry Linda, love you though). The photo is beyond amazing to me - j'adore!

Steve, trying to get inside the head of ANY record buyers is mission impossible! You only have to look at songs that make No.1 in one country and hardly register in the next one. Yes, this track is much more "cutting edge" and throws the whole 'girly' group image of the 70s out the window but for whatever reason, either the stations wouldn't play it or , , , who knows. Just don't ponder on it too long or you'll end up a sad old bloke like me! Just enjoy it now.
