Farm
The Pig Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Taking chances, and your reputation's going down,
Going out in the night time, good thing you make no sound.
But you don't fool me,
'Cause I know what you feel.
If you ignore the things I see, someday soon's gonna
Find your way down on Beggar's Farm.
Way down on Beggar's Farm.
I pay my money for no returns,
I think I need you, gotta find someone.
Oh, you don't fool me,
'Cause I know what you feel.
When you go wild and I ask you why, I don't worry
When I see you lyin' down on Beggar's Farm.

But you're on to me, gonna turn away.
Won't even listen when you try to say
That you were only foolin' 'round,
'Cause I know what you feel.
But if you ask me nicely, woman,

I'll wake up early one day soon
And I'll visit you down on Beggar's Farm.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to The Pig's song Farm evoke the image of a person who is taking risks and making choices that are not in their best interest. The first stanza suggests that this person is engaging in activities that could harm their reputation, and that they are trying to be covert about it. However, the singer seems to have insight into this person's behavior and is warning them that their actions will eventually lead to a downward spiral.

The second stanza speaks to the emotional state of the singer, who seems to be in a state of emotional turmoil. They appear to be searching for someone to fill a void in their life, but they are not having much success. The singer acknowledges that they can see through the facade of others, including the person they are addressing in the song. The final stanza suggests that the person they are singing to is aware of their true intentions, but they are resistant to acknowledging them.

Overall, the lyrics of the song Farm seem to be cautionary in nature. The singer is warning the listener about the potential consequences of their actions, but also seems to be grappling with their own personal struggles. It's a complex song that touches on themes of personal responsibility, vulnerability, and honesty.

I'm a student and this video is homework. I'm so fascinated about this case, it's crazy how much time was spent on it. I send my condolences to everyone who was affect by this honestly. I still don't know these two questions and If anyone could help me I would be grateful, I don't have time to do this.

1. What type of strategies did the police use to discover the bodies?

2. Should the police offer money to Pickton to help find the remaining victims?

I agree with you.
Multiple pig farm killers theory

1) he is not that bright, to get away with murdering 26 confirmed (or 49 professed) is unusual. He dropped out of school at 14 because he was made fun of because of hygiene issues

2)The police as an establishment f-ed up. Their general duty officers reported woman disappearing to the extent in which itinerancy doesn’t explain away

3) it was known they had drug/booze infested parties in which they’d pick women up for

4)there’s a highway in our province called the highway of tears because of the amount of MMIW (and the odd white women) and there hasn’t been any suspect(s) and I’ve always had this
vibe that those two areas are connected. Maybe it’s some kind of secondary hunting ground if the other gets to heated

5) there were multiple people who knew what was going on down there including one guy who was seen on video telling pickton the best way to kill a female heroin addict

6)Some of the women were found hidden on the property like in garbage cans etc, basically out in the open or poorly hidden with various items of evidence around it (I think these were the six he ended up going to trial for) and the bulk of the bodies were fed to the pigs

7) he was charged with the six (ostensibly because of the amount of evidence 🤷🏻‍♀️) but could it be because the police have a different theory

8) there was a gun found on the property that wasn’t mentioned by any of the media and police (maybe because it could be become evidence in a future case)

9)slot of his closest friends interviewed in the media were found out to be a minor acquaintance

I remember hearing about one of my uncles neighbors that had a pig farm being arrested for something horrific as a kid. My uncle had no idea anything of the nature was taking place even though he was just down the road. Later on I found out what happened. Still blows my mind that I grew up 5 minutes down the road from that nightmare

Sandra

Did you uncle work there?

I grew up just down the road from Robert and was horrified to hear the things he had done. I still remember my brothers best friend Tim Barrett who died after being hit and left to drown by members of this family. I have never forgotten Tim and pray for his family. Not sorry we moved away years later.

Ok, so what happened,,,??

You might’ve eaten some of these women then…

Wow. Excellent. You made the victims more than a list. You humanized them with their pictures and a brief moment. And there were so many victims. That's awesome. (that you did the hard work to get information on the victims)

Serial Killers Documentaries

Yet everyone seems to stumble on the "prostitute" term, saying I am offending the victims.

HolyGuacamole

@Serial Killers Documentaries Don't mind them. It's the internet so no matter what, someone will complain. Keep up the good work.

@Carina Bella Did you learn in school that hooker is a bad word? Because it's not. It's just old slang. Not HO, not Bimbo, not Whore. Hooker, old slang still used today by most people. If you want politically correct, watch TV.

SnekMekSmood

@Serial Killers Documentaries People prefer the term sex worker because hooker, prostitute, street walker and the like have been used to reduce women to vagina with legs. While yes those words have history that initially didn't start as bad... they certainly made a quick turn for the worst because of stigma. Idk man I don't like any of the words because.. well as a woman they have been used to demean me (I don't even do that type of work, I work with animals lol). Idk pleasurer? Pickle picker for monetization purposes?
