Into was released in 2001 and went double platinum in Finland debuting at #1. The first single F-F-F-Falling was #1 in Finland during three months in early 2001. The second single Chill reached the #2 place in Finland. The Rasmus toured Scandinavia and Europe along with HIM and Roxette that year to promote the album. The band finally gained international fame with their 2003 album Dead Letters which went gold and platinum in several countries, accompanied with the single In the Shadows which reached #1 in a number of countries. iTunes Music Store offered the track as one of its free singles, a positive public response prompted many listeners to buy the rest of the album. Guilty was released in 2004 and was the last single of the album. The three other singles; In My Life, First Day of My Life and Funeral Song also received mostly favourable reviews and response. During the 2004 Reading Festival in England, the band was pelted with plastic bottles filled with urine and mud (an act reserved for the worst band on the bill each year) until they eventually walked offstage when immediate medical attention was required for Eero's eye.

Don't Let Go
The Rasmus Lyrics

Holding my breath as I walk to your garden
Everything seemed so abandoned
Roses have gone just as high as the mountains
Fireflies glow in the dark
Don't let go now (don't let go)
Somebody is lying
Everyone came to the final revival
Its been a year since we've been here
Spell has been cast to welcome the arrival
Finally silence is near
Don't let go now (don't let go)
The garden is dying
These wounds won't heal (don't let go)
Somebody is lying
Break the spell of emptiness
And thousand year of loneliness
Bless the path of righteousness
And walk the trails of holiness
The garden is dying
Somebody is lying
[Repeat x2]
Don't let go now (don't let go)
The garden is dying
These wounds won't heal (don't let go)
Somebody is lying
Ohhh oh oh ohhhhh
The garden is dying
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Somebody is lying
Ah ahahahaha
One of us is lying
Ah ah ah ah
In The Rasmus's song "Don't Let Go," the singer portrays a sense of abandonment and loneliness as he walks alone through what used to be a beautiful garden, but now looks deserted and devoid of life. He is breathing heavily and feeling a shroud of mystery as he walks through the garden. As he looks at the roses that have grown as tall as the mountains, he can only notice that everything around him is dying except for the fireflies that are glowing in the dark. The singer's tone is a warning to not let go.
The song has a central message about the importance of staying vigilant and not giving up, particularly in times of grief or difficulty. The garden represents life and its eventual decay, and the fireflies represent hope that there is still light in the darkness. The singer is urging the listener to hold on to hope and not let go, even though a spell of emptiness and despair has been cast. He suggests that by following the path of righteousness and holiness, one may be able to break the spell and emerge from the darkness. The lyrics warn that somebody is lying, perhaps referring to someone who may be causing pain or harm, and the wounds won't heal until the truth comes out.
Overall, "Don't Let Go" is a melancholy but meaningful song about persevering in the face of hardship and holding onto hope that there is still light in the darkness.
