The album (created with Tony Hoffer - The Kooks, and The Fratellis), was released mid-September 2007. The band gained alot of recognition when single "Alarm Clock" was played on Radio 1, when lead singer of Snow Patrol took over Zane Lowe's evening slot as a one-off.

Girls And Boys In Love

drive you to drink, it wont let you go
plenty of girls and boys in love, plenty of girls and boys in love
move to the city, lose all ur heart, she wernt that pretty, you aint too smart
plenty of girls and boys in love, plenty of girls and boys in love
and aint it a shame, oh wo oh oh wo oh
aint it a shame, oh wo oh oh wo oh
aint it a shame, i let you go
plenty of girls and boys alone,
plenty of girls and boys in love,
plenty of girls and boys in love,
plenty of girls and boys in love.
The first two lines of this song could be interpreted as a warning against letting your thoughts consume you and lead you down a path of self-destruction, such as turning to alcohol to cope. The chorus repeats the phrase "plenty of girls and boys in love" multiple times, perhaps as a reminder that there are others out there experiencing the same emotions and struggles. The next verse seems to caution against moving to a big city and losing yourself in a person who may not be worth it.
The phrase "plenty of girls and boys alone" at the end of the song seems to suggest that while there are many people in love, there are also plenty who are single and perhaps looking for love. The repeated line "aint it a shame" could be interpreted as a bittersweet recognition of the complexities of love and relationships.
Overall, the lyrics of this song seem to reflect on the ups and downs of love and relationships, and offer a somewhat cynical but realistic perspective on the topic.
