Frank AB
The Rural Alberta Advantage Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

My love, I will hold on to your touch
'Til there's nothing left of us
Save you from this life

In the cold weight, in the Rockies touch
Won't take away our love
Save you from this life
And I'll hold, I'll hold on to your touch
'Til there's nothing left of us
Save you from this life

And I'll hold, I'll hold on to your touch
Till they find the bones of us
Save you from this life

And under the rubble
Of the mountain that tumbled
I'll hold you forever
I'll hold you forever

And under the rubble
Of the mountain that tumbled
I'll hold you forever
I'll hold you forever

And they'll build up another

On the bodies of our brothers
And I'll love you forever

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of The Rural Alberta Advantage's song Frank AB speaks to a deep sense of devotion to a loved one that persists even in the face of the most trying circumstances. The opening lines set the tone for the rest of the song, as the singer declares that he will hold onto his partner's touch until there is nothing left of them. The lyrics also suggest that the couple are facing some sort of life-threatening situation, but the singer remains steadfast in his love and willingness to protect his partner.

The references to the "cold weight" and the "Rockies touch" further underscore the severity of their situation. However, the singer asserts that their love will endure despite the odds stacked against them. The image of the rubble of a mountain that has tumbled hints at the possibility of a catastrophic event, but the singer remains determined to hold onto his partner forever, even in death. The final lines of the song are particularly moving, as the singer acknowledges the potential for tragedy in their situation but affirms his unwavering love for his partner.

Overall, The Rural Alberta Advantage's song Frank AB is a poignant meditation on the power of love to transcend even the most difficult circumstances. The lyrics are marked by a sense of urgency and desperation, but ultimately, they speak to a deep sense of faith in the unyielding strength of love.

Just passed through Frank for the 3465 time and I am still in awe. More rock than Bobby Brown has ever seen, that's for sure.

The story of this song is just incredible.

This is such a sweet song... It's crazy, I used to go by Frank Alberta and the Frank Slide area every year as a kid visiting family. Then I watched NWD 9 and here's a song called Frank AB... I KNEW it couldn't be a coincidence.

Heard them do this live on Canada day, amazing. Such a stage presence too.
