"We never even considered doing a side project," says Statik. "We were so busy doing all things Collide. However, when the opportunity came up to work with Dean, we couldn't resist."
One day kaRIN happened to be surfing around in cyberspace and came across Dean's solo work. She emailed him to see if he might like a guest vocal. I was just throwing it out there when I asked him," says kaRIN. "I was ultra excited when I heard back from Dean that he thought that it would be a cool idea. We then asked Statik if he would also want to be part of it. Thankfully he did, so we all continued to work on tracks until it turned into a whole album."
Says kaRIN, "Dean has been so great to work with. He is so chill and easy going. He would send music and I would lose myself inside the sounds, finding words and melodies, and then Statik would put the whole thing together and add his special touches. The only instructions that Dean ever really gave us was... have fun, so I think our approach was slightly more playful on this collaboration. I am still chasing my demons, but maybe I am having a little more fun with them on this release. To me the whole thing feels sort of dreamy and surreal."
Dean states, "Music has a very big place in my life, I became immersed at a very young age and have never looked back."
Says kaRIN, "I have always been obsessed about creating, it's just who I am."
Statik adds, "I just want to make music that doesn't suck... that's all."

The Secret Meeting Lyrics

I would always be
And you could see the stars
Through the piece of sky
Missing some information you might need
Always, always, always
So captivated always shining deep beneath
I've got a secret I've got to seep in
I've got to piece it all together
I've got to seep in somewhere someplace
I've got to piece it all together
I could see the sky see me passing through
I've got a secret I've got to see through
I've got to piece it all together
I've got to seep in somewhere someplace
I've got to piece it all together
Tell me when you loose control
Tell me when you loose control
I can see the stars they captivate me
So transitory
Revelation eternity
Elevated illusions in the symmetry
I've got a secret
I've got to seep in
I've got to piece it all together
I got to seep in somewhere someplace
I've got to piece it all together
Tell me when you loose control
Tell me when you loose control
Turn the tables in infinity
You trade me places
Oh catch you later
Simulating eternity
Turn turn the tables
You want to reach to infinity
I've got a secret I've got to seep in
I've got to piece it all together
I got to seep in somewhere someplace
I've got to keep it all together
Turning tell me when you loose control
Turning tell me when you loose control
Turning tell me when you loose control
Tell me when you loose control
I could see the stars
Going forwards and sideways
Always always
The lyrics to The Secret Meeting's song, Stargazing, are about someone who is captivated by the beauty of the stars and the sky. The singer is addressing another person and telling them that they too could see the wonder of the stars if they would only look up. The singer then mentions that there is missing information that might be needed, and repeats "always" several times, perhaps hinting at the eternal nature of the universe and its mysteries.
The singer continues to describe the feeling of being at one with the stars and seeing things that others can't. They have a secret that they need to piece together, and it seems to involve the stars and perhaps some deeper meaning. The chorus repeats that the singer has a secret and needs to piece everything together, and then asks the other person to tell them when they lose control.
In the second verse, the singer describes the stars again as captivating and talks about elevated illusions in the symmetry. They repeat that they have a secret they need to seep in and piece together, and implore the other person to tell them when they lose control. The bridge introduces the idea of turning the tables and trading places, and talks again about infinity and eternity. The song ends with the singer repeating that they can see the stars and that they always do.
Overall, Stargazing seems to be a song about the wonders of the universe and the quest to understand its mysteries. The singer is on a journey to piece together a secret, and perhaps sees the stars as a key to unlocking deeper truths.
