I wish I had moved to Seattle a year earlier so I could have caught these guys live. Thanks to Bombshelter Videos for turning me on to the U-Men back in "the day". This song has a great syrupy Jim Thirlwell tone to it but it's the U-Men so in all actuality should be in a class by themselves without comparisons.

I totally forgot about the U-Men! Such a great influence on my taste for good bass/drums/geetar/howls/... Umm...

About three minutes into this song I caught myself mumbling, "God, this band fucking rules!" I hear so much in them. There's The Sonics and Captain Beefheart but then suddenly the Pixies pop up only I'm sure these guys were doing this before them, and out of left field The Smiths or something. The fucking Smiths! I wish I could've supported this band when they were around but they broke up probably while I was 3, so no purchasing entry into any of their gigs.

Very Pere Ubu-like, moreso than I previously realized. Looking forward.
