Ton silence

Ton secret
Ton secret...
The lyrics of Thierry Bruyère's song "Ton silence" express longing and confusion in the wake of a departure. The first verse describes the sound of thunder rumbling, symbolizing the storm of emotions and turmoil that the singer feels in the depths of the night. The thunder fills the room, creating a heavy atmosphere since the departure of the person addressed in the song.
The singer reflects on their attempts to understand the meaning behind the silence, absences, and ambivalence of this person. They seek to comprehend the reasons for their actions and lack of communication. The truth is mentioned as being as fearsome as the unknown future, but despite the uncertainties, the singer assures the person that they will be there for them.
The second verse continues the search for answers, as the singer tries to extinguish the fire and fears within the person and make their daily lives lighter and more bearable. However, they come to a realization that they do not truly understand the situation or the person's perspective. This realization further deepens the confusion and frustration felt by the singer.
The chorus repeats the notion that the truth is as scary as the future, but the singer reassures the person that they will be there for them. The song ends with a plea for the person not to give up too quickly, as the singer promises to keep their secret.
Overall, "Ton silence" delves into the complexities of a relationship, addressing the struggle to comprehend the reasons for someone's silence and indecisiveness while expressing a steadfast commitment to being there for them.
